It felt like there was a penalty on every play.  And some of them were not fair.  But that is part of the game.  And after the way the first half of the game went for the Steelers, they would be crazy to do any trash talking!  Certainly they are smarter than to get into any of that with the Pats.

Thank goodness for the second half.  Ravens imploded, it was awkward.  Steelers live to see the AFC championship game.  I love NFL playoff football.  really.

Ugh. I just wish that Houshmandzadeh had caught that last pass which hit him in the chest.

In all my years of watching football, I've never seen a defensive holding call of a DL againt an offensive center on a running play. I thought that call and the holding call on the punt return helped turn the game.

I think BAL will fire Cam Cameron, although he did not cause Rice to fumble, Birk to snap the ball too early, Boldin to drop a TD, and Houshmandzadeh to drop a ball that killed the season.

Roethelsberger's miracle 3rd down conversion was just jaw dropping.

WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
Predicting it's gonna be a repeat of Superbowl XXXI - Packers v. Patriots....and a Packer victory!
GO PACKERS!!!

This is a fun night to be a Packer fan. Very fun night!

One thing that really surprised me (considering that Green Bay is the most dominant franchise in the history of the NFL) is that we've never scored 48 points in a playoff game before. You'd think that sometime over the last century or so, we would have gotten around to that sooner than this.

Yeah...I was kinda surprised by that too

The underlying thought of ATL all season is that they were overrated. Oddly, GB almost didn't even make the playoffs.

Looks like NE v. GB.

I think so, but then again... that Bears game, in Soldier Field, is going to be World War III. Year in and year out, no matter how good Green Bay is and how bad Chicago may be, they play us like a grizzly defending her cubs. They always bring their absolute best against us.

We're definitely a better team than they are, but that's still the best team Chicago's fielded in many, many years, and this isn't to be a gimme by any means. This may be the toughest game we play this postseason, including the Super Bowl.

Double post, sorry, my network went wonky right about then...

EDIT:... again... stupid computers. Now both posts disappear. >.< Anyway, yeah, Rodgers, awesome, keep it up and they win the whole thing easily. Should be entertaining.

Ok, I have a bone to pick with whomever is in charge of scheduling football games.    10am??  On a Sunday???     This is forcing me to make some serious changes in the menu.

We have our little Hawks flag, and will be waving it proudly...but the snacks just won't be same.

Good excuse for a great brunch!

Reverse that one and I'm with you ;)

That one confused me too.  I don't think anyone was happy with the officiating.  But the team that fucked up a little less managed to win this one.  Houshmandzadeh HAS to make that fourth-down catch.

Green Bay might be going to Seattle and not Chicago. The Seahawks sent the Saints packing and they could do the same to the over rated Bears. GO PACK

What kind of odds will you give?

subrob1967 -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/16/2011 7:56:32 AM)

Seattle +9.5 Straight Bet

I say the Bears will cover the spread.

Its either agony or ecstasy in the playoffs. Strap yourself in for one or the other.

Or both, I think the Ravens & Steelers provided both yesterday.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/16/2011 8:58:23 AM)

The Packers are playing at their peak right now. Chicago or Seattle will not be looking forward to meeting up with them next week.
