That's what I am saying, VG. There are indivuals I have mad respect for on the Ravens. Ed Reed... one of the all time bests.

As for Big Ben.... one case is a civil case and is still pending, as of 12/10 and is sketchy at best with the defendents good friend saying the defendent is lying.. The second one in Millville: no charges were filed. I have no idea if he did assault these woman or not, I believe his behavior was inappropriate, at best.

Yes, I know the murder charges were dropped against Lewis, but that was in exchange for testimony against the other two.

In any case, we each have our own parameters of what we will overlook or see thru a different spectrum.

Besides the uni's being prettier, you also don't have those flipping terribel towels. That's a huge plus.[;)]

All i know is, talk to the waitresses in Pittsburgh and you get a totally different take on Ben than the one you see on TV.

I don't normally watch Feetsball, but I'll be watching the Birds on Saturday. 12-3. Amazing.

OK, now THAT I can't agree with. The Ravens with their hideous purple and black have some of the ugliest uniforms in the NFL. Seattle probably won't ever let go of the top spot in that department, but the Ravens are perennial contenders.

My personal preference is for the Saints' home blacks, with that gorgeous pewter helmet. Also love the Bolts when they wear their powder- blue jerseys with the white and yellow hats, the 49ers' home reds, and the Raiders' silver and black.

Also, our uniforms are prettier! :-P

Purple and Black are ugly? As a self-identified Decepticon-American, I find your assertion to be species-ist.  You clearly have prejudice against people who can change into evil vehicles, and I think that it this point the admins should step in.

Hey Lordandmaster!

Seattle has to have gawdy uniforms, how else you gonna remember em?    We fondly refer to them as SeaChickens in this house, they are loved, but doubted.   (years of coming close, but fading out in the end)

Don't get me wrong, we will be glued to the set when they play the Bears, it's below 20 degrees outside, what else ya gonna do?

Green Bay lost to Atlanta on Nov. 28th by a feild goal with 9 seconds left. Look for a different outcome this time around..GO PACK

Oh, please, as far as I know Big Ben has not yet murdered anyone.  He is rude to women, I don't think anyone is going to dispute that.  Ray Lewis, blech.

Jets Pats Steelers Ravens all even with one game each.  I remember 2008 when the Steelers beat the Ravens 3 times, it was incredible to me that it could happen.  Since then I believe anything can happen, especially in single-elimination football.  On any given Sunday.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/10/2011 6:52:26 PM)

I think the Bengals win for ugliest unis.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/10/2011 7:03:45 PM)

Minnesota Vikings...

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/10/2011 7:52:33 PM)

On the topic of unis.  This is an interesting resource, current through 2002:

http://www.weirdwolf.net/FFP/index.htm

The obvious drawback is that they don't do justice to the helmets (and the colors are clunky), but you still get a very good idea of how the uniforms have changed for each team through the decades.

For current uniforms, this site is better:

http://www.ssur.org/research/CK_NFLUniforms/NFLUnis.htm

And on the topic of who has the ugliest (and I still rank the Seahawks an undisputed No. 1 in that category): I don't believe I've EVER heard anyone say: "Oh, look at those beatiful brown uniforms with the orange helmets!  The Cleveland Browns have such gorgeous uniforms!"

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/10/2011 7:54:47 PM)

JETS v. PATRIOTS

RAVENS v. STEELERS

Yet ?
Do you know something we don't know ?[;)]

I was watching some sports show today and saw Suggs saying that the upcoming game was " armagedon and WW III ". That's some serious stuff. According to Rex, our game is personal between him and BB, but yours is going to be flipping Epic !!!!

I do get a chuckle out of the guys that shoot there mouths off. I don't want my team to do it, but I am thoroughly entertained by the ones that do.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/11/2011 7:07:10 PM)

I remember reading a quote, a few games in the past between Ravens and Steelers where the player said, and I paraphrase...."it's not a good game unless players are bleeding and limping off the field"  These teams play for keeps.  Rex Ryan can't shut his mouth, gotta love him.  It is exciting and great for the NFL when they can serve up serious conference rivals in the playoffs.

Not a good week for NFL players siblings.[&:]

DIAMONDHEAD, MS (WLOX) - The younger sister of football great Brett Favre was among those arrested at the site of a meth lab in Diamondhead Wednesday.

Cromartie better have the game of his life after his smack talk.  I have a very bad feeling for him that he is gonna get embarrassed.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/13/2011 11:44:30 AM)

Favre was a great quarterback, but he and the rest of his family are a bunch of hillbillies.

I agree. I think he went way over the top on his little rant to the press.
I was surprised that Rex went to bat for him, I must say. I don't mind Rex's trash talk and bravado, but I think he should instill a little discipline in his team.

I have to wonder what LdT must be thinking. Remember when SD lost to the Pats and copy catted the Merryman dance ? LdT was cryng and saying the Pats had no class and it started with the head coach. Just desserts for a player I can't stand.
