The only thing I'm looking forward to in the Jets/Pats game is the hug and/or handshake when the game is over.  Will they hug?  Won't they?  These are the burning questions.

LOL, I certainly hope there is no handshake. My disdain for Mangini goes back farther than SpyGate. BUT... think about it. They shook hands after the first game of the season, and our cameraman was apprehended in the first quarter, I have to assume BB knew  it right after they nabbed him and there was a hand shake. So maybe..... maybe not.
I betcha it will be all the buzz from the announcers.. will they or won't they... only their hairdressers know for sure.

BTW,, they are predicting a blizzard for Sunday, which IMO, will keep the score quite a bit lower.

They hugged, when did they hug, it was when Bill beat him last season.  The NFL man hug, bring it on.  Erm, not for mbmbn.  We have the Jags.  I'm skeered.

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Cowboys receiver Terry Glenn went through some drills at practice for the first time all season Wednesday, a good indication the already dominant Dallas offense could have another weapon by the playoffs.
Glenn, out because of two knee operations, is not expected to play Sunday against the Eagles. He could make his season debut the following Saturday at Carolina or in the regular-season finale at Washington. If the Cowboys get a first-round bye, Glenn would have four weeks of practice before the first playoff game.

Glenn was supposed to be Tony Romo's deep threat until having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee during training camp. He was hurt again in his first practice back, leading to a second arthroscopic procedure in September. It wasn't a typical scope, though, which is why he's been so slow to return. At the time, he also was considering season-ending microfracture surgery.

Good news for Glenn and the Cowboys.[:)]
Terry Glenn has always been a favorite of mine. His parents died when he was a teenager and he helped raise his siblings and had alot of responsibility on his young shoulders and no time to really be a * normal * kid. He has a lot of character, along with his obvious talents.

I think Mangenius has his tongue in Belichick's ear

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/13/2007 6:09:50 AM)

Mangenius, not so genius this year.  He made Don Banks list as the head coach for the all-disappointment (bust) team.

So did Polamalu.

have fun reading:

My ears are different, I guess. What I heard from Falcons owner Arthur Blank on "Monday Night Football" was that he wouldn't rule out the possibility of giving Michael Vick a job when he's released from prison.
"Having just turned 65 in September, I've realized that the word never is a very strong word," Blank responded when Tony Kornheiser expressed surprise that Blank would consider bringing Vick back.

To me, that was the headline from Blank's visit to the "MNF" booth. His throwaway line wondering whether a prison diet of fried chicken and french fries would ruin Vick's conditioning barely registered.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7559392?MSNHPHMA  PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed practice again Thursday because of a sore right shoulder, with Charlie Batch running the starting offense in his place.
On Tuesday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Roethlisberger's problem wasn't a major one and, "I don't want to make more out of it than what it is."  The Steelers haven't updated Roethlisberger's condition since then. Tomlin said Roethlisberger's status would be updated Friday.

It is common for Steelers players who have relatively minor injuries to miss a day or two of practice, then take part in the final practice of the week Friday and play on Sunday.

Batch hasn't started a game since the 2006 opener, when he threw three touchdown passes in a 28-17 victory over Miami. Roethlisberger, who missed that game after having appendicitis, has started each of the Steelers' 28 games since then.

I really liked the Drew Bledsoe valet one.

I know Level.  Hopefully Ben will practice on Friday.

Texans 31-13 over Denver. Super Mario had 3.5 sacks, pushing his total to 13, second in the NFL.

Sanity -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/14/2007 4:24:47 AM)

Now you know how the other half lived, before Elway retired.

It's okay though, because winter only makes spring feel that much nicer.

From what I saw of it the Texans looked good.  Super Mario, now not looking like such a questionable draft day decision.  I was hearing the words "pro bowl" after his name.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/14/2007 5:25:02 AM)

Actually, to me they looked like a 7-7 team that kicked the ass of a 6-8 team that was having one of its bad days.  The Broncos have to be the most inconsistent team in football.  (The Chargers might be a close second.)  Good Broncos--good.  Bad Broncos--bad, very bad.

Yes, I watch the Broncos and think why aren't they better?  But yeah, I'm not talking like they are two super power teams or anything.

That may turn out to be seriously true this season.  It will make mbmbn happy!  Maybe he'll upgrade to non-torn sweatshirts.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/14/2007 10:06:49 AM)

Their skill-position players are all talented but very young, and that spells inconsistency.  Travis Henry is the elder statesman, and he's still a young'un.  J.J. Cutler, Selvin Young, Brandon Marshall--these guys are all very talented, but babies.  They also have a budding tight end in Tony Scheffler.

Oh, and the defense is really shoddy.  They can't stop the run consistently.
