Look on the bright side, you get the #1 draft pick

ctrlaltdelete -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/12/2007 11:37:07 AM)

Looking at the draft history since Jimmy Johnson left - big flipping whoop!

Maybe we can pass on a top QB again to pick up a punt returner.

How close to 100 points will the Patriots come Sunday against the Jets?
Now I read a report saying that the Jets were caught taping the Patriots in Foxborough last season, resulting in the removal of a Jets employee.
I am sure that many, if not all teams videotaped their opponents. Maybe the Patriots went too far? I don't know.
I do know the Jets will be embarrassed Sunday.

If they don't - never sweat it. It is merely the warm-up for the Dolphins walloping that is to follow. That should be the first triple digit score

The punt returner is the new QB!
(for some teams)

Unless your QBs throw more TDs to the opposing DBs than your punt returners can run back for scores.

Mangini maintained the Jets did nothing wrong, and had filmed at New England during the regular season without incident. It was nothing like what the Patriots did earlier this season, when a New England employee was caught taping New York's defensive signals and punished by the league.

"We do it every time we go on the road," Mangini repeated. "We ask for permission to do it. It's within the league rules, and when people ask us to do it, we grant it, as well."

Mangini was also asked if the Jets were, at all, taping the Patriots' defensive signals.

"No," Mangini said smugly.

The only thing I'm looking forward to in the Jets/Pats game is the hug and/or handshake when the game is over.  Will they hug?  Won't they?  These are the burning questions.

Will hoodie-ordained Bellichik be piggy-back-riding a defeated Mangini across the deserted footbal field while whipping his ass with a horse jockey crop and yelling SUUUUUIIIIIIII at the top of his lungs?

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/12/2007 1:32:21 PM)

Oh my, thank you for that interesting visualization.  Next time please refer to Bill as the "sleeve-torn hoodie-ordained."    [:D]

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Cowboys receiver Terry Glenn went through some drills at practice for the first time all season Wednesday, a good indication the already dominant Dallas offense could have another weapon by the playoffs.
Glenn, out because of two knee operations, is not expected to play Sunday against the Eagles. He could make his season debut the following Saturday at Carolina or in the regular-season finale at Washington. If the Cowboys get a first-round bye, Glenn would have four weeks of practice before the first playoff game.

Glenn was supposed to be Tony Romo's deep threat until having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee during training camp. He was hurt again in his first practice back, leading to a second arthroscopic procedure in September. It wasn't a typical scope, though, which is why he's been so slow to return. At the time, he also was considering season-ending microfracture surgery.

Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens sharply criticized the team's former receiver and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson for saying that retired coach Bill Parcells deserves credit for the team being 12-1.

Johnson made the comments during "Sunday NFL Countdown," ESPN reported.

Said Owens, "I challenge him to come down here and take my job. ESPN producers, let him go. "

It seems like the wheel turns awfully slowly for some teams.[;)]

Yup [:D] To be a Cardinals' fan has to be excruciating.
