Mums cat Sputnik is now desperate for TLC

She was always, and I mean ALWAYS...sort of ALWAYS scared about other people...parents got her and her sister as feral kitties...now, tonight, my parents were at the neighbours as they invited them over for pizza....and according to mum Sputnik is there all evening, demanding TLC from sort of all the folks over there (if my cats wouldnt be here she would be scared big time from them)...so she obviously enjoys there, to be near my parents without my gang...as my gang is almost always near me

Just today dad asked me "where are now all your cats coming from?" According to him he could barely see them, but once they could hear my voice they were all there

Mr. Cat was a very special dood. I always said that he was a higher being in a cat suit. He gave me so much, it was the least that I could do for him.

ohhh,.. but its much worse when they do that to toilet paper, dont you think?

So look at the bright side...

I have to keep my bathroom door closed because of that lol. Plus he likes to sit in the tub and meow up a storm. I think he likes the acoustics! And lately he's taken to chewing on the rubber tip of the doorstop.

Yeah the bathroom is off limits now lol.

Baghira (my parents second cat, she is the sister to Sputnik) taught my parents to STOP buying the dry food which they used to buy...with my assistance.

Last week mum and I bought a packet of kitekat dry food as I told mum to do the TEST...so we opened one new box of kitekat dry food and one box with the usual cheap one they got....the one from kitekat, which costs about 1.50 Euro or so more, was empty after 3-4 days...the other one needed about 2 weeks to get emptied and only got emptied faster at the end as I added the tin food on top of that instead of putting it in separate bowls....

Now yesterday my dad moaned if anyone would bother to feed the cats, where I told him that I did feed them twice already....and reminding him that mine are pretty fine with eating mainly dry food....

So he told me if I can teach my cats then to stay away from parents cats tin food...

so mum and I went to the store again and bought kitekat dry food again...and voila...their cat Baghira was way more interested in that dry food than on his cheap can food he was using

So finally the message got through to him that the money value on the box itself does not decide how much it costs to feed the cats...cause if they buy cheaper dry food which they don't like and so begg all the time for can food, then it gets costly with the can food....(they eat 4-5 cans per day, due to them being 7 cats).

And now finally we can start to feed them after my plan, which is to use apprx. 2 boxes of kitekat per week plus 4-5 cans...which comes at a cost of 6,75 Euro a week....instead of 10.80 Euro, which was the case before with 1 box cheap dry food plus 4 cans per day tin food...

Thank god, he got it at last

My cat eats the dry food.  She bolts to the kitchen when ever I go there...  I am a trigger for her.

So- sometimes I carry her to the other room.  When I do this that she is eating- she never goes back. If I do so when she is drinking she will go back.

I will save thousands of $ on food this way!  (JK JK JK!)

Meow!

There are days when Angel gets on Misty's last nerve, and today is one of those days. Angel is being very feisty and chasing Misty, which Misty is definitely not in the mood for.

Greetings

Her Imperial Highness the cat named Maude is outside refusing to come in to make us worry and annoy us.

I wish you well

I had the doors open earlier so that I could move a piece of furniture into the apt. Of course, da Boyz went out. Just as I got the desk into my little stairwell & stopped to take a little break, the wind came up & blew the outside door shut. Booga was back inside, but Pookie was still outside. So I managed to get the desk into the apt & went back outside to get him. It had started to hail & that seemed to fascinate him, because he didn't want to come in!! Once the rain came pelting down, he did decide inside was better. He's my wild boy. He loves it outside. Booga only goes out there because of feline curiosity. As soon as he gets out of the apt, he panics & can't wait to get back in!!

My cat always has to inspect when I move stuff.  So knowing this- I often put her in another room- close the door.  It is so easy to hurt myself or her- when I am distracted.

In the last year- I have not been as physical- so -- it is less of a problem.

Not so easy to do when one lives in just the one room. LOL Besides, Pookie likes going out & pretending he's a jungle cat.

Having just eaten, they are all in various stages of becoming fur rugs on their perches.    Well, KB is licking the other plates clean...just in case someone missed a crumb.......like THAT happens!

The kittehs still haven't gotten used to thunderstorms.....they seem to rool thru between 3 and 6 pm each day...yesterday's was a beaut!  It's the big booms that crack and crash that they absolutely hate.  They jump about 6 feet straight up, stipes flying everywhere....which of course makes me laugh at them, so that's adding insult to injury!  I'm such a bad kitteh mama!

Booga is being playful this morning. He can't figure out how to get crunchies out of the auto feeder, so he just lay there in the dish with a paw up the chute for awhile & then licked his paw. Then he sort of ran all over the apt attacking stuff.

Bubby is taking a bath, curled up in a corner of the couch.  Tummy full, fur getting tended to... he's happy.

Angel's outside, terrorizing the lizards in the garden, no doubt. I noticed since the temps came down a few degrees, there are some outside today. Misty is snoozing the afternoon away.

Angel was a very bad girl last night. I was lying on my side on the bed watching TV and Misty was laying on top of my outer thigh. Angel jumped up on the bed, knocked Misty off, and proceeded to chase her. Needless to say, Angel got squirted and yelled at. Today she was much better behaved. The two slept peacefully on the bed together about a foot apart with no skirmishes.
