Informants have rolled on Vick.  Also the search warrant has not been executed because of the way it was worded.

All this talk about Ron Mexico and dog fighting makes me think it would be neat to have  televised deathmatch between him and his brother Marcus. Loser gets tossed in the pit in his back yard, and the winner gets to play for the Raiders! [;)]

Happy, are you sure the winner would want to go to Oakland? [:D]

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Veteran offensive lineman Joe Andruzzi, released by the Cleveland Browns last month after two seasons with the club, has been diagnosed with a treatable form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

His agent, Joe Linta, said Friday that the 31-year-old Andruzzi has begun getting chemotherapy treatments at the Dana Farber Institute in Boston, a hospital for which he helped raise money while playing for the New England Patriots.

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Nearly seven years have passed since Andre Wadsworth last appeared in the NFL, and six since he was told he would never play again.

Yet there he was on the New York Jets' sideline, helmet in hand, awaiting his next set of plays. After 13 knee operations, Wadsworth is healthy enough to compete for an outside linebacker position with the Jets.

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jack Trudeau was arrested early Saturday and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police found liquor being served at Trudeau's home for a high school graduation party, a release from the Boone County Sheriff's department said. Trudeau was taken to the Boone County Jail, where he posted bond and was released Saturday morning. He faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and $5,000 in fines for the Class A misdemeanor.

Twelve people were charged with minor in possession of alcohol, and five were additionally charged with resisting law enforcement for hiding in the woods near Trudeau's home.

The youths face a maximum penalty of up to 60 days in jail and $500 in fines for the Class C misdemeanor.

Trudeau played for the Colts from 1986 to 1993 and played two more years before retiring in 1995. He passed for 10,243 yards, 42 touchdowns and 69 interceptions in his career.

A message left at Trudeau's home seeking comment was not immediately returned.

But what if he makes it? [8|] He was a terrific speed rusher coming out of college, and if he had stayed healthy, and the Cards had kept him and Simeon Rice, what a pair that would have been.

I'm gonna cheer him on. Start the "Wadsworth Watch" or somethin'.....

NEW YORK - Tank Johnson is the latest NFL player to feel the impact of commissioner Roger Goodell's crackdown on off-field misbehavior

The Chicago Bears' defensive tackle was suspended Monday for the first eight games of the 2007 NFL season, the third player sidelined this offseason under Goodell's toughened personal-conduct policy.

Johnson, who recently spent two months in the Cook County jail for violating probation on a gun charge, joins Tennessee's Adam "Pacman" Jones, suspended for the entire season, and Cincinnati's Chris Henry, out eight games. Jones, who's appealing his suspension, has been arrested five times and had 10 interviews with police since being drafted in April 2005. Henry is one of nine Bengals arrested last year - one of the reasons Goodell, with the approval of the players union and newly established players' council, established his "get tough" policy.

DENVER (AP) - Sam Adams, a 350-pound defensive tackle and three-time Pro Bowl player, signed with the Denver Broncos after spending last season with Cincinnati.
Adams previously played for Buffalo, Oakland, Baltimore and Seattle. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens after the 2000 season and played in the title game with Oakland two years later. He was a first-round pick of Seattle in 1994, the eighth overall choice in the draft..

Adams, who will turn 34 this month, is known as a run-stuffer but also has 44 career sacks, fourth among active defensive tackles.

Adams started all 16 games for the Bengals last year with 25 tackles, two sacks for eight yards and one pass breakup.

"The Patriots made a splash with all their off-season additions. Now they're making news with a potential off-season subtraction.
Disgruntled cornerback Asante Samuel, one of the team's defensive standouts, has said he will not show up at New England's minicamp and will not report to the team until Week 10 of the regular season, according to a report on the web site of the Boston Globe Tuesday."

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - NFL union head Gene Upshaw has never been one to hide his emotions. An ex-NFL player thinks this time he's gone too far.
Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure said he takes literally remarks Upshaw made that he'd like to "break his ... damn neck"

"He is the head of a union. He has the wherewithal to do it," DeLamielleure said Tuesday.

MIAMI (AP) -- Trent Green could be on the field with the Dolphins by this weekend after Miami finally agreed to terms with Kansas City on a trade for the quarterback.

Green will undergo a physical in Miami and if he passes it, the trade will be completed, a person within the NFL with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. The person requested not to be identified because the deal is not official.

Chiefs quarterback Trent Green has finally got his wish. He's now a former Chiefs quarterback.
The Miami Dolphins have agreed to trade a fifth-round pick in the 2008 draft — which could become a fourth-rounder depending on how much action Green sees for Miami in 2007 — in exchange for the veteran quarterback, FOXSports.com has learned.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Newly acquired receiver Randy Moss believes the problems he's had in the past will disappear now that he's with the New England Patriots
"When you're winning, everything's good. When you're losing, everything's bad," Moss said Wednesday after the second day of minicamp. "I love coming to work every single day, just being around these guys."

Moss made the Pro Bowl in five of his first six NFL seasons, but he soon developed a reputation as a troublemaker and spent the last two seasons struggling to make an impact in Oakland. The Raiders traded him to New England on the second day of the draft for a fourth-round selection.

At the time, Patriots owner Robert Kraft said that "if people don't adjust to our standards, they won't be here."

Moss said he expected to fit in well with the Patriots, who won three Super Bowls in four years and reached the AFC title game last year.

"Everything you've heard about me, good or bad, some's a lie and some's true," he said. "I want to fit in. Nothing I've ever done in my nine-year career has kept me from fitting in with my teammates."

Best wishes to Trent Green.  I hope the move works out for him. I hope he has an injury-free season.

MIAMI (AP) -- Daunte Culpepper wants to choose his next team, so he's asked the Miami Dolphins to release him.

Culpepper, who serves as his own agent, made the request Thursday -- one day after the Dolphins completed a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs for quarterback Trent Green and told Culpepper they would try to trade him.

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Three-time Pro Bowl guard Marco Rivera was released Thursday after two seasons -- and two back operations -- with the Dallas Cowboys.

Rivera injured his back while running on a treadmill in March 2005, only a week after signing his $20 million, five-year free agent deal. He had surgery to repair a bulging disc in his lower back, but still started the first 14 games in 2005 before being sidelined by a strained neck.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congress will hear testimony June 26 from retired NFL players who contend the pension plan of the league and union is insufficient, especially for disabled ex-players.

"The NFL is a billion-dollar industry, and yet the players who built the league are too often left to fend for themselves," Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., chairwoman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and administrative law, said in a statement announcing the hearings.

Well we knew this was going to happen after they signed Trent Green.  I'm iffy on Trent Green, I fear that one bad hit and he'll be done for the season, his concussion was bad.
