Fucking Jets....grrrr.

Sanchez is looking much better this week. Edwards #17 is an idiot - plain and simple.

The Pats could be in for a long year with that secondary.

After Moss used him was it his leg or his ego that sent Revis scurrying off.

That's what people say every year, but it's just not true.  They're a team with some top stars, but up and down the roster, they have some very serious holes.  (Like, umm, OFFENSIVE LINE.)   Meanwhile I don't understand why they keep sticking with Phillips and Garrett.

What a difference a week makes...today Sanchez looked like the efficient game manager, and Flacco the error-prone QB who ruins the day for his vaunted defense.  It's a long season, guys.

The Packers were my pick to win the NFC, so I'm not at all surprised to see them doing so well.

And when Roethlisberger finally gets back, the Steelers are going to be terrifying.

The thing that is most disappointing, is that every year the Cowboys have a team of top talent.

Ben Rapelisberger has two more games to sit out.  The Steeler D is looking awesome, so grateful we have Troy, the D looks completely different when he plays.  Hate to see Dennis Dixon injured.  Sheesh.  QBs n Knees, not a good situation.

I agree; the Steelers look awesome and GB looks top notch.

Flacco morphed into Floppo, but Warren Sapp when picking CIN this week explained -- a team that plays a tough game on Monday night rarely wins the next game if its on the road.

The Ravens look far from being a SB contender, but I'll take 1-1 with two road games v. former playoff teams to start the season.

I agree that Cowboys on did not address their OL and don't seem to have a good offensive system installed.

Predicting the rest of the NFL looks like a crap shoot; while all eyes have been focused on the NYJ and NE -- MIA has sprinted out to the division lead.

HOU looks like it is serving notice that it intends to make a playoff run.

WAS amassed 18 yards total rushing for its entire game.

LandM,

Although it's true the Cowboys have some positional weaknesses, like this year it's the offensive line, overall they have been a pretty balanced team with superstars in key positions. They just can't seem to win in clutch situations.

Last year the first third of their season was pretty bad and people were writing them off, then they stepped it up and had a great run up to the playoffs. I remember most analysts predicted they'd win the Superbowl, then they just caved in the second round of the playoffs. It's been the same story for the last 5 or 6 years now.

I do agree with you that Jones needs to look long and hard at the coaching staff. But there have been cries here in TX for Philips and/or Garrett's head since TO was with the team. The bad coaching decisions have become a distraction for sure.

Most people that like the Packers do so to honor me.

Servantforuse is not allowed to discuss the packers out here any longer. I invoke T.O.S. 7.6.3...Servant please cease and desist this type of behavior immediately. They don't need to learn that some subby guy on a kink website is supporting them....This is the type of shit that can immediately send a team into a devastating tail spin.

Well, SOMETHING is wrong with the Cowboys, and if they don't fix it, they're not going to make the playoffs, because the rest of the NFC East is competitive.  Washington and Philadelphia already look much better than I ever expected (Philadelphia because Vick has been such a huge surprise--and Andy Reid is a fucking moron for not starting him immediately and without further question).  I really don't know what the hell is going on with Dallas, but a team with as much talent as the Cowboys supposedly have woulda beat the STUFFING out of the Bears, who are not a playoff team.  (I'll bet anyone that the Bears aren't going to make the playoffs this year.)  All I can see is that the offensive line kinda sucks.  Oh, and the secondary too.  Good secondaries make Jay Cutler look like a lousy quarterback.  Do the Cowboys play the Packers this year?  Because Aaron Rodgers might throw for 600 yards against them.

Lam's secret theory: one reason why the Cowboys are overrated is that they have some great fantasy players, and most casual fans think that means they must be a great football team.

I like your theory.  The Cowboys appear to have a lot of talent, but they are a mess.  I think the problem with that team is not with the players.  Look elsewhere - coaching, ownership, I do not know.

Hey Domi, I have been a Packer fan long before you. I have personally met 50 to 60 players from the 40's, 50's and 60's. I have photos and autographs worth upwards of $10,000 to prove it. Every autograph I have, I was there when it was signed. When you mention them don't forget to mention 12 time World Champion Green Bay Packers.

I invoked TOS 7.6.3....

Thank God none of the Packers had to witness that little debacle.

domi - do you have any bright, shiny autographs to brag about?  Because that is what makes you a man.

You left out the part about meeting players from 3 decades. The signed stuff is just a bonus. I think domi's jealous.

Being cautious about the JETS beating the PATs.

Curious to see how VICK does. QBs that can run and throw are a true headache for defensive coordinators.
