drama in Raider land

How/who decides the coaches for the Senior Bowl?

quote:

The NFL franchises chosen to coach in this college football all-star game are chosen by the league office each year, with preference given to teams high in the draft order that haven't undergone major staff changes.

Al Davis has really fucked the Raiders up

I win!  I guessed it was draft order then second-guessed myself because the Raiders are #3 (or #4), but you confirmed by guess, I'm so smart, or a good guesser, or something.  The Raiders are insane, anyone who takes a job there has to be a bit nuts to fit in that dysfunction.

Even the kickers are tough in San Diego:

SAN DIEGO - San Diego Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding played in nearly five full games with a fractured lower left leg, including hitting four field goals in Sunday's loss to New England in the AFC championship game.

A person familiar with the situation confirmed the injury to The Associated Press on Friday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't acknowledged the extent of the injury.

Kaeding's left leg is his plant leg.

I think he took it too personally.  But if that's the sort of motivation he needs to reach higher levels of play (not that I think there is anything wrong with his play), good for him.  Ben was asked for a "wish list", he gave them one.  He's a tall guy, makes sense he'd like a tall receiver.  Tallness does not always equate with talent though.

I agree. And Ward is one of the best in the league..... I'd love to have him with Dallas.

NEW YORK - Die-hard Giants and Patriots fan are paying record prices to scalpers for tickets to this year's Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., and the total dollar volume of resold seats could be the biggest ever, according to ticketing firms.
Asking prices for the Feb. 3 game range from $2,450 to $19,446 at StubHub, a unit of eBay Inc. and the biggest of the online resellers. Officials there say the average price so far is $4,300 for tickets that the National Football League originally priced at either $700 or $900.

Why?

Because they can.

Bill is the ultimate film-study geek.  No way the Giants will beat the Pats.  I'd fear it may be a smackdown.  If they get to Lil Opie and wreck his confidence it may be bad.

IF, (thats a big if;)  the Giants D shows up for all 4 quarters, and gets to Brady again, like they did in the first 3 quarters, 6 weeks ago, I believe they have a good shot at winning the game.

If Eli is spot on, and the D limits big plays to one, Giants win 27/24
