there is a reason the browns are called the Kardiac Kids... theyre gonna give us all a heart attack! Phil Dawson is offically a hero.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/18/2007 4:39:21 PM)

Seriously, we can't defend against punts/kick off returns.  It is an issue.  We just lost to one of the worst teams.  But that's not the problem.  We are one up on Cleveland in the conference and they have an easy schedule remaining.

like I said, we will meet again... and next time, you will not be so fortunate!

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Jim Ringo, a Hall of Fame center who played 15 seasons for the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles, died Monday morning after a short illness. He was two days shy of his 76th birthday.
The Packers drafted Ringo out of Syracuse in the seventh round in 1953. He played for the Green Bay until 1963, then was traded to Philadelphia by Packers coach Vince Lombardi after he brought an agent with him to Lombardi's office to negotiate a new contract.

Ringo went on to play for the Eagles from 1964-67. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981.

Ringo was voted to 10 Pro Bowls and was chosen for the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1960s. He started in a then-record 182 consecutive games from 1954-67.

"As Vince Lombardi once observed, Jim epitomized the toughness and determination needed to not only play the center position but to become one of the game's most dominant offensive linemen of his era," said Steve Perry, president/executive director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. "On behalf of all of us at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Jim's family."

Calling hours will be held at Rupell Funeral Home in Phillipsburg, N.J. Final funeral arrangements are pending.

Unless you are a New England Patriots fan, this thread should be renamed "NFL Sob Thread"

48-27.  Scoreboard.

Green Bay will be next if they're lucky enough to get past the first round of the playoffs, they definitely won't get past Dallas.

Am I the only one who is still annoyed by the announcers on Monday Night Football? Canning Joe Theismann didn't help.

kittiekatt -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 3:27:28 PM)

The patriots are a bunch of bitches.

49-10, and they go for it on 4th and 2. bitches. I hope someone takes a late hit on him next time they get the chance. On Brady that is. Respect gets respect.

Don't want them to score?  Stop them.

It's that simple, fucking crybabies.

kittiekatt -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 3:44:32 PM)

Or instead of humiliating the team when you've already got the win, you could run the ball, and keep your opponents respect. And then maybe next time a 340 pound linemen gets the chance to lay him out just after he's thrown it, he won't.

Level -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 3:56:33 PM)

Advocating a late hit on someone won't garner any respect here.

kittiekatt -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 3:59:51 PM)

Why not? If he's going to run up the score...Next time when a linemen gets the chance to slow down, why should he? Is Brady and Bill showing respect by running up the score? No..So Why should he show respect by not hurting him with a late hit.

CollegeConundrum -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 4:02:31 PM)

Super Bowl rings > respect.

Respect is for pussies and 5-5 division leaders.

IdiotMale -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 4:03:30 PM)

It's the defenses job to stop the offense..It's not the offenses job to stop themselves. Doing your job by scoring points is not the same thing as intentionally hurting another player.

kittiekatt -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/20/2007 4:15:37 PM)

It's your job to win. And once you know you've won, you dont need to humiliate the other team by shoving the loss down their throat.
