The United CEO didn't care too much about the domestic US market because they have a monopoly in US for some routes. But when the Chinese and rest of Asians starting demanding retribution on United and called for Boycotts/Termination of United Asian routes THEN him and board of directors got scared and started issuing out more fake apologies. They are not genuine to the American people or anyone for the matter. We are talking about 600 million + Asians openly calling for United's boycott and route termination so United Air is worried about potentially losing Billions and future growth. The worst they can lose in a domestic lawsuit is in the millions to maybe 100 million one time loss, but internationally like the Asian routes they could lose BILLIONS of dollars PER YEAR. That's why it matters and that's why they are on a big smear campaign to make people lose sympathy for the 69 year old victim. And it didn't work- there's even more anger at United and willingness to hurt them bad. United and US airlines don't respect American passenger rights so every help we can get to get some needed reform would benefit everyone. I saw this on the comment section of Youtube. I think this dude got it spot on. It is true United got monopoly on American domestic routes. And they have been doing Asian business for a long time. They certainly do not want to be hit here. And there is this rumour going around in China that, it is extremely common that if they chose someone to bump off their flights, they always go for the Asian guy and it's directive from United to their Staff. They should clear that up too. If it's true or not.
