Owner59 -> Here we go again...Con-didate Compares Public Schools To Nazi Regime (8/1/2011 6:36:40 PM)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/01/kim-simac-tea-party-candi_n_914897.html

Wisconsin tea party organizer and children's book author Kim Simac has admitted to comparing American public schools to the Nazi regime.

Simac, also Republican candidate for the Aug. 9 recall election of Democratic state Sen. Jim Holperin, wrote a controversial post on tea party social network Patriot Action Network last October. The post recently disappeared from the site going into the general election, Talking Points Memo reports.

From Simac's blog post:

I am done raising my kids but if I was a young parent today I would take my kids out of the public school system today. At what point will we stop talking about the comparisons to what is occurring today and what actually happened by the regime of the Nazi's in the past?

The way our schools indoctrinate little kids with liberal pap, she might be right.

Really? "liberal pap" (in your own words) bears some sort of equivalency to Nazism?

"might be" should be "is"

Pretty much sums up the students coming out of Milwaukee public schools.

Owner59 -> RE: Here we go again...Con-didate Compares Public Schools To Nazi Regime (8/1/2011 7:24:13 PM)

No one said there aren`t schools with problems.

Funny how the party that excels at propaganda accuses the other of propaganda. I guess this is just another way they get people to vote against their own interests.

Servant, Willbe ---

Just so we're clear, are you saying that U.S. public schools are equivalent to Nazi indoctrination programs?

servantforuse -> RE: Here we go again...Con-didate Compares Public Schools To Nazi Regime (8/1/2011 7:37:40 PM)

Holperan is one of the democrats that ran away to Illinois a few months ago. His district in northern Wisconsin is a long way from his liberal buddies in Madison and he most likely will lose his election.

Some of the curriculum absolutely is.

Can you provide us with an example. Not just your opinion, but an actual example that can be corroborated.

I call bullshit. Have you actually read the textbooks or curriculum that you speak of? Up until ten years ago the curriculum was the same shit they taught back in the 50's. The only that has changed is Texas altering their history curriculum to tell utter lies.

This...

Those creeps are good examples of today`s GOP.

Another thing has changed Keri. The school systems in most major cities in this country have been taken over by liberal administrations and even more liberal teachers and their unions.

Owner59 -> RE: Here we go again...Con-didate Compares Public Schools To Nazi Regime (8/1/2011 7:53:14 PM)

Taken over I tell ya......we`re the "good guys" and are only trying to help.......[8|]

Wrong again. The same type of people that are teachers now are the same type of people that were teachers 50 years ago. Yes, they were liberal then and are liberal now. This is because few conservatives are willing to go into a low paying job that serves and puts others needs above their own.

I dont know about Texas, but in NJ the 90s curriculum was vastly different from the 60s. We were focused on math, english, science, history, language and one creative outlet...from home economics to shop to chorus. In the 90s there was at least one and usually two "social" electives that were nothing but liberal indoctrination.
