For some, contentment in a relationship is not possible without love. And of course in many relationships, contentment is impossible even in spite of the love. But in my experience, a successful relationship requires both. If there is no love, I can not be content.

My owner has never said he loves me in the entire decade that I've known him. I'm certain he's incredibly fond of me, it's clear that he's content owning me ....and it's clear that I'm content to be owned by him. Life with him is ridiculously exciting, fun and has got more so year on year ......... I don't care if he loves me ........... I can't imagine what more could be added if he did. Contentment is in my situation........ it's not how I FEEL for him. If you want a relationship without love, then make that clear when you approach women. But don't slam those of us who do need it and won't contemplate a relationship without it. Personally I couldn't be content living with someone without love. YMMV
