He has a real nose problem.....when the AT&T guys were here to fix the phone and Iwebz, he was head down/tail up in their open toolbags every chance he got.  He sticks his head in every bag, purse and carrying bag that comes into the house.  The groceries get the most inspection......looking for nip or treats!

Misty also loves to examine the groceries. She has a very keen sense of smell and can figure out exactly which bags contain raw chicken, raw meat, deli turkey, etc. I have to be sure to put those items away immediately or she will get into them. A few weeks ago, I put the grocery bags down, then had to go heed nature's call. In that short amount of time, Misty located a package of deli turkey, pulled it out of the grocery bag, and was gnawing through a corner of the package.

A cat I owned in the past, Amanda (may she rest in peace), loved to get into anything and everything that came into the house. One two occasions, she actually got into the open tool boxes of repair men, took a tool out, and tried to run off with it. I had her number and saw what she was doing so she didn't get away with it, though. One day when I was at work and she was bored, she figured out how to get into my jewelry box (which I had not locked), lifted up the cover with her paw, took out several pieces of jewelry, and left them in various places all over the house. My first clue was a bracelet lying on the floor near the waste basket when I went to empty my trash. It took me a while to find the rest of the pieces. After that the jewelry box was always locked.

I'm glad my current kitties are only interested in food items for the most part. It gives me a lot less to worry about.

Well I think I'm loosing it sometimes. I dreamt last night about Panthera.
In my dream I opened the fridgedoor and there she was sitting in one of the racks.
That's also the only scene of my dream I can clearly remember.

Misty is on the window ledge, looking outside. Angel just jumped back into "her" chair in the bedroom for another nap.

Cecil, who is blind, is staring off at something.  It's kind of creepy sometimes.  I think he sees spirits.

What brand of cat litter do you use?

What gorgeous golden eyes, Char!  She's getting big......and her coat is beautiful!

Mine all went back to sleep...I got home ultra-early from work and woke 'em all up!  And I'm seriously thinking of joining them!

So I got back from dinner and the cat is where I left her- on the bed.   Relaxing like she is queen of the planet.

I use Fresh Step multi-cat formula although I only have one male cat. I swear by it.

The kitten looks just like my late, lamented tabbies. And it was a pretty good hunter!

I use Tidy Cat and with two male cats it can get stinky.  I think I'll give Fresh Step a try.

OMG that's just adorable!

I use Tidy Cat, clean the box daily, and have no stinkage.

Viktor is super happy tonight.  I was away over the weekend but his "Nanny" came to visit/play with him Friday, Saturday and today.  When I opened the door, he meowed and instantly started rolling and stretching around on the carpet, purring up a storm.

Right now he's crunching on his food.

I use the Walmart brand in the orange box, it has an addidtive that is pretty good at masking odor, and I also use the Febreze plug ins.  I put them in outlets near the boxes ( I have 3, including one in the bedroom for Squeaks), and my boxes are also the covered ones.  Not too big of an odor problem, people who come in don't even smell the cats.  WM also carries a silica litter called Mimi cat or something similar......I've used that plain and also mixed in with the clumping litter, and I buy the pool size bag of baking soda (also at WM) and use that.  It sounds like a lot, but it's not.  I scoop every 2 or 3 days.
