There's definitely a difference in cat litters, how often you scoop has an effect, how often you totally wash out the box, and what you feed her - all contribute.

Viktor is a happy boy today - I'm home (and off work so home all day) for the next three days.  Every time he sees me he rolls around on the carpet, mewing and purring.  He was sprawled across my lap a little bit ago, purr purr purring up a storm.

With da Boyz, I have to scoop at least twice a day or it gets totally out of control. Sometimes I get behind & then I have to just dump the whole thing & start over. I hate it when I do that!!!

Misty is SO glad I let Angel outside. She was in one of her fesity moods again and was chasing Misty, which she does not appreciate in the least.

Amos is yelling at me from her perch on my desk (where she is all curled up and doing the belly roll).

Cashie is sprawled out on the armchair, guarding my purse.

Boo is curled up sleeping on the table next to me at the computer, Squeaks is looking out the open front window, watching the world go by.  Not sure where KB and Smooch are...probably out on the dryer by the other open window.  It's still relatively cool and not too humid, so I crack a few windows.  They get a whiff of the fresh air and there is about 30 minutes of WOOO-HOO!!!!! FRESH AIR!!!!!! stoopidity, then they settle down.  KIDS!

Cashie has given up the comfy chair, and is now laying on the desk, next to my right arm..with his head butted up against my right hand (yanno, the one that operates the MOUSE).

Of course he is, it's a cat's job to disrupt his/her owner's (ha owner!) life as much as possible. Maggie's favorite position is in my lap with as much of her head and shoulders under my right (dominant) arm as she can without tipping out of my lap. It is the way of the cat!

Well...she told me to...cause they know how to instrument us, don't they

Ok, I arranged it cause it's the ideal point now, that parents go a week on holiday...and my dad doesn't know that she isn't fixed so far, so the idea was, to get her fixed whilst he is away (cause I simply don't need any comments from him in that matter...) and I doubt he will still see enough to get it after that week...

Maybe she will be a bit more quiet afterwards...or a lot more  Cause dad keeps wondering why she is so loud, every night

I think he's going to notice a huge shaved patch unless he's particularly unobservant - especially what with her being a long hair cat. Maggie didn't calm down afterwards so I think you're shit outta luck on that score.

Well...it doesn't bother me if she gets calmer afterwards or not, though I hope a bit for my parents that she does...but either way, due to my change in circumstances there won't be any further kitties for now and so it is - after all - the best to get her fixed...and my dad is VERY unobservant...has been throughout the whole of my life...so I am not worried in that matter  Anyhow, I am just glad that my last unfixed kitty is getting fixed now

The reason I posted about Maggie (God bless her little kitty self but I may kill her) not being calmer is that you hope your furball is calmer afterwards for the sake of your father not noticing she wasn't fixed sooner. So don't count on it.

On topic, Maggie is lying in a patch of sunshine sleeping off the wild time she had earlier. So things are temporarily calm on the furball front.

I'm not at home but my cat, Hyacinthe, is usually sitting in her cardboard box (Why she likes them so much I have no idea, haha) labeled "Schroedinger" lol.

Ha! My last cat loved boxes and refused to let me throw any of them out. There were too many of them so he basically ignored them until I tried to throw some of them out. At that point he jumped into the one I picked up so I couldn't throw it away.
