ORIGINAL: soul2share I'm sorry to hear about your litter, Phoenix......but Nature has a way of taking care of things. Like you said, it wasn't meant to be. I hope Summer doesn't get depressed.....I've heard about females losing litters and then doing so. My other little feral female is pregnant too....she's starting to puff up. I had planned to take Sissy to get her done tomorrow, but ran out of $$ after paying bills. It sucks, really Thanks soul...and yes it sucks...what annoys me is that last month I did not spay urmel due to thinking its better that way as I didnt want to leave summer off food one evening due to him getting fixed the next day (as nobody can have food, sort of, the evening before he gets done). If I would have get him fixed, she probably would not have miscarried as then he would not have kept attacking her due to his hormones driving him nuts...anyhow, I know it doesnt help to beat myself up over it...as right now many aspect sucks as you know... I will try to to get him and the kittens daddy fixed soon, to make sure summer can have a rest without them harrassing her and right now my plan is during the summer at some point to mate her most likely with a turkish van cat...and then get her spayed afterwards...one more happy litter for her and then give her peace about having litter. And then next year to have one litter with bengal cats, once my life is stable again (hopefully) and then that will be it with my furry family...thats approx. my plan now... But for now...we just take the peace here and take one day after another. She is in a very bad mood this evening and I hope that this is "only" due to what she went through today and not due to any complications...I doubt the later considering how well she delivered one after another, but needless to say I keep an eye on here...in case she needs the vet as a matter of urgency...which right now I have to try to avoid if I can as you know. But I try to let her have one happy litter and then put her multiplying genes to rest after that. We will see. The shame is that in the last days she was much closer again than in in the past weeks which was nice, her seeking the attention...right now all she wants is her peace...poor lil summer...so lets hope that in autumn we live in the desired big flat or house and her nurturing a nice sized litter at last.
