He has said absolutely NO BRACES......he went thru that in school and said he'd rather have the teeth pulled than go thru that again.

I can totally agree to that view and hope he heals fast and well. I feel so sorry for him, that this happened to him [&o]

I managed to post an application today to one of the more interesting posts...time will tell....

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 9:22:11 AM)

Sorry, was celebrating Lizard's b'day at the hotel which had the inside swimming pool.  I think I did pretty well handling them.

Had to get a roller bed so I can get some sleep (like hell I am sleeping on the floor.).

I was the one getting up early and had my yarn to play with.  T slept with Lizard and I told them if I hear sex noises (we are not having no orgy noises, we swear, officer). he have to stay a week away from her.  They did not break any rules.

I have to change my trip back home to Friday because I am needed around here.  Thursday I have to be here for the uverse people so they can watch tv again (I am getting rather tired of the old tv shows and movies).  At least they are boosting the internet connection higher...the gang will be enjoying that.

Got to call my MHMR to cancel my appt.  I also need to get more meds (Geodon) so I won't go crazy...

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 11:01:42 AM)

Ny daughter's moved from the regular Seroquel to the extended release. Much less side effect of fatigue and just takes it with dinner every night. Helps her sleep cycle stay regular also.

We went up to see her last regular horse show. She qualified as high point rider for the region and is automatically qualified to go to Nationals in May. Nice way to end her senior year.

We came back from that and spent yesterday buying bags of gravel and pouring them into a hole in the driveway that pulls cars off the road and into the ditch. 250 lbs of gravel in just one hole. Come April, we start buying tons of it and regraveling the road, not something I look forward to. Nor my son who gets to rake it all.

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 11:38:31 AM)

I have been suggesting that we do that to the small driveway next to the trailer.  It gets muddy there and I hate mud (unless it is a facial treatment).

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 2:17:16 PM)

It gets expensive buying gravel and having it delivered. The Man's oldest son has been into cars for years. While in high school he and his buddies started tinkering with an old pick up. They souped up the engine and swapped the pick up bed for a dump. When they graduated, we bought it off of them. A lot cheaper to go get a ton at a time although it is time consuming. But it's so worth it not to have potholes that eat up cars.

If the picture was taken after he was treated at the hospital, the orange colour could be from Beta.

That was what I thought to, my sis said nope, wasn't that.  She's a nurse too, so she'd know.  Good thing she is...when the accident happened, the ER doc didn't want to order a CT scan......they would have never found the sinus fractures otherwise.  Of course, the guy apparently didn't think his loss of consciousness was important enuf for it, or the very nature of the injury itself!

Anyway, the orange was ALL him.

On a good note, my sis called, the surgery went fine, everything is back where it belongs as far as his nose goes.  He's home now, a bit uncomfortable, but I'd be too if someone had rooted around and shoved my nose back into place!

yourdarkdesire -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 11:19:31 PM)

I'm glad things went well Soul. I've been in some of those surgeries and they are just plain ugly. That boy is going to turn every colour you can think of - and some you didn't even know!

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/14/2011 11:26:41 PM)

I am going to bed.  It has been a tiring day for me.

Aylee -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 6:04:33 AM)

Howdy all!

Just sending a hello out. We are still on the road. Planning to get through Pennsyvania today and over to Indianapolis to stop for the night.

Sorry Holly, but we are not taking I-70 yet so I did not set up a stopover with you. Perhaps next time.

Take care all!

GreedyTop -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 7:53:15 AM)

Aylee!!  *hugs to you and Phil*

HOLLY!!   How is Jim?  *much love to you all*

Soul, glad to hear he's going to be okay. But they do make invisible braces now. My sister did them about ten years ago when her kids were getting the regular ones.

The visibility from my braces never bothered me...however, the person who did them was a bitch on top of the pain braces cause when you first get them (at least the first ones which were going around the teeth like a ring on a finger) which would put me off to ever get any again. She was lucky that my parents couldn't care less, cause I would have sued her when she pushed a front tooth out against my will...if I would have been my mother...

I hope her practice doesnt exist anymore due to other parents standing up against her legally and not out of her own voluntary reasons...[>:][>:][>:]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 12:46:40 PM)

Right now, I am exhausted.  Picked Lizard up from school, unrolled her, went to DQ for lunch, Dollar General for some tumblers.  By the time I step out of the store, I was nearly crying from the pain.  Took a cab home and shallow some advil...

HEY!! that is my pen!!!  I stole it from the Dallas hotel!

Yeppers...she took one of my pens.  Told her to take the pencil but does she listen...NO!!

BTW, she is doing the courses right now.  Math is close to an 100.  She is taking a break from reading.

I think she is going to have her diploma next week, if not before A-KON.

A high school diploma before she is 17...I feel so proud...she can keep the house clean now...<WEG>

jlf1961 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 3:25:26 PM)

I need some help.

I am trying to convince my sister that if we win the lotto, that spending $7500 on a rifle is a good idea.

Phoenixpower -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 3:32:02 PM)

no help from me in thet respect jeff, sorry [&:]

I ordered today a cat harness and a lead...thought I can take urmel out a bit more at present where I have time, though more when the sun goes down than at day light...time will tell how he responds to it[:D]

the fact that I bathed him as a lil kitten to get rid of his fleas (at least temporary) before he was old enough to use the chemicals on him, backfires these days on me...cause when my cats are naughty all respond to the water pistol...apart from him [>:][>:][>:] he only stares at me when I use the water pistol, a la "tell me mommy when you are finished doing that" [:)]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 4:32:38 PM)

Depends, Jeff.  I go for a Glock for close range and a Claymore for trips (yes, pun intended).

My training was merely M16 with grenade launcher.  I refuse to handle the guns at home except for the 4-10 and that is for snakes and out of season hunting for feral boars.  Those critters tear up the yard.

yourdarkdesire -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (2/15/2011 4:34:53 PM)

no guns

guns are not allowed

no items shall be used in a gun-type manner (this includes bananas and lego)

these are the rules of my house
