It was German, and to be specific, It was Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Heros

Thanks Jeff.

Now we can all get back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Bo got the Hogan's Heros series on DVD for Christmas.  And Beverly Hillbillys.  I think he needs something more entertaining...give me ideas, people!

The Man bought himself Man from Uncle some months back. But it doesn't call to him the way he thought it would. So far he's watched maybe half of one episode.

you could dance right next to the tv whilst he is watching it [:)]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (1/7/2011 4:41:28 AM)

That is an idea but the tv is bigger than me.

He even has The Lone Ranger and Superman.

Perhaps I should find another copy of MIB.  That show is missing.

The recent Sherlock Holmes movie?

House M.D.?

Firefly?

Is he looking for action, who-dun-it, or what?

GreedyTop -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (1/7/2011 6:18:43 AM)

what about the Avengers?

M*A*S*H*?

Get Smart?

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (1/7/2011 6:32:06 AM)

I'm wondering if revisiting childhood cherished favorites isn't guaranteed to take the bloom off them. We aren't that young and naive any more and we're used to a lot more sophistication in both content and filming techniques.

GreedyTop -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (1/7/2011 6:50:40 AM)

I dunno... I still love MASH, nd Get smart..

it allows me, personally, to revisit times that were more innocent (for me)

I suppose it depends on whether he is looking for intellectual stimulation or just some mindless entertainment.

Part of the fun of revisiting childhood favorites is in watching just how campy they are.  Like watching Evil Dead or Army of Darkness.  They are not even close to being scary because they are just so funny.

Perhaps you could talk to him about his approach in watching his new DVDs.  Instead of expecting to be awed and riveted by the screen expect a couple hours of light relaxation and fun, a good time to cuddle, and an excuse to eat popcorn and drink a soda.

I know...it is that Mom watch The Mentalist on CBS and Mom has control of the remote.  She does not allow me to watch WWE, so I don't know who is torturing Vince this month.
