She didn't say it was a lie--de facto or otherwise.  Maybe you're committing the fallacy of misrepresentation?

He is right you are misrepresenting when the quote is taken in its entirety it looks like this

quote:

It would not surprise me if our government did this themselves to illustrate how "evil" the other side is. After Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman, and finding no WMD, I cannot believe a damn thing that our military says anymore (oops, almost forgot abu ghraib)

Now can you explain why you would believe an organization that has shown time and time again how they lie, spin, and misrepresent things like Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman? Unless you can explain why I should believe anything they say that has no independent support, I just can't see why i should believe them.

Only because you can't seem to let it go:

That explains you continually responding to everything she posts.

Please clarify who is having trouble letting it go.

How in the world can you claim I'm misrepresenting you when it's RIGHT THERE: you cannot believe a damn thing the military says anymore.

We're not debating whether or not you have a good reason -- the fact is, you don't believe them.  You think the military has lied so often in the past that you now don't believe anything they say.  You have stated this OVER and OVER again.

That is NOT misrepresenting you, Julia.  That is your belief.  Unless you've been lying the whole time.

Hrm.  I am still waiting for you to clarify who is having trouble letting go.
