Murlocs rock.

I'm having a "Save the Murlocs" bumper sticker made [:D] I think everyone should get to enjoy the fishy little bastards!

Which of these are a better fit for me?
If "neither", does anyone know of a better game of this type?

Actually, going back to your orginial question..

MMORPG's are best played when they're young, while everyone's still getting their stake in the place.  Finding a new one is the most fun.  "Vanguard", a relatively new one, produced by some of the big names from EverQuest, should be one well worth the look.  (However, like EverQuest, I doubt it'll be quite as easy as WoW.  It's probably going to be easier than the orginial EQ, since they're trying to draw a fan base, but I sort of doubt they went that far.)

I did beta with vanguard and it totally sucks big time.

What'd you not like about it?  (I was going to hold off until summer to try it.)

The graphics are no where near what EQ or WoW has. The story line is slow and sluggish with no clear leading path.
It was too reminiscint of EQ2 in regards to trying to be different; and it was very BUGGY as hell. In two or three years, they may get it up to speed and actually have something worth playing, but right now, no.
