I've seen this -- crosses gender, sex, and orientation lines though.

Fox used to be sub to almost everyone. One of the coolest things about our relationship (I'm sure in both our own opinions) is that he learned he could choose who to be submissive to and then he learned how to stand up for himself in other parts of his life too. He's even learned he's a good top when he wants to be with another bondage or rubber fetishist.

I think I tend to be attracted to smart but naturally submissive people in part because I feel like I can help them find their own power in other parts of their lives. Not only does that increase how much I value what they give to me when they submit to me but it makes me proud to watch them grow and become powerful in other things like jobs, family, friends, health, religion, etc.

Missy... the comment wasn't stupid or smartass.

In her broken English she basically said that (these rude doms) behaviors, not their words, showed her what their true nature was all about.

I'm sure she meant no disrespect to LadyHugs nor anyone else who has replied to her here.

So with the very wise words spoken by a dear Lady... "You must be able to understand the language as it may appear to be rude but, it is not--especially when lost in translation." What you yourself perceived as rude was in fact merely a reply that didn't translate very well for you. So you can see that this post submitted by LadyHugs wasn't entirely directed at justinedoll it can be for anyone who is attempting to communicate with someone who cannot speak to another in their native language.

We all respect LadyHugs & each would jump to her defense just as you did but in this case it was simply a misunderstanding.

Please understand that I am trying very hard to select words that will not be misunderstood. I am making a honest attempt to communicate with you in the only language I know.

Yes each person is real... some are real, meaning they speak the truth about who they are & what they expect from you & what you can expect from them... & yes, some are real when they speak in a way that is deceptive about what their "real" motive is to those they misrepresent themselves to... they hide their true nature behind the untrue things they say & the untrue way they act.

But the truth eventually comes out... correct?

How do we prevent ourselves from being subject to these rude people who misrepresent themselves? We learn to recognize their behaviors & avoid them completely. We must also learn how we can represent ourselves in a way that won't attract this type to us ever again. The blame can never be only on others.

The message boards here have many wonderful people & as you said, you have met many good people here. I hope that you can continue to learn, share & communicate with us so that you can avoid these rude idiots that have upset you so much.

i think we need to pay attention to the red flags that some Doms give out and take them for what they are.  Something isn't right and be careful in your interactions or just ignore that person completely.

Some of us play Scrabble and we cheat too. Not often.... just the odd time. I mean how many words can you come up with for a Z Q X  and a measly J? It's a tough game, right at the end.
