odd question here..or maybe not so odd. i know some doms make their subs maintain a healthier lifestyle thru eating better, working out...i have read some posts here regarding this. so i was wondering...i am seperated from my husband for 5 months but i do feel in my quest to please him in all aspects I should take good care of my body even while he is away. I have what you may refer to as post partum weight still.......im sure some of you know that. Have you ever had a dom who made you do certian things exercise wise or eating wise that helped you tone your abdomen and possibly shed that hehe. I eat healthy but still, being preg. that does something to your body. So any suggestions lol, I will take them. Thanks

No. I did have one once that was a health freak (In a good way) so just being around him I picked up some really great habits.

I feel like I want to be the healthiest (notice I didn't say best looking) self I can be, for me and for him.

I do understand the baby tummy however. I still have a bump (okay it jiggles too) ! I don't really know how to get rid of it as sit up's make everything else toned but the bump.

I would first have to ask what kind of excercise regime you have now? I have never had children so I can not speak from experience on that front yet I do know that there are certain excercises you can do that help to tone the tummy after childbirth.

yes my Master has always made clear that he will not have an overweight slave. He has even made detailed workout regimens for me since i must do everything at home, with weight training, cardio, stretching, etc. all included. my weight must stay within a certain range or there will be Consequences.

but ab work can be brutal...that's actually my most hated area to workout. crunches, stretches, lifts and weight work...blech. sometimes you have to work twice as hard in that area as you do everywhere else, to see the same results.

diet wise, you should cut way back on the white stuff....potatoes, bread, white flour, etc. and dairy. throw down on lean protein like poultry, fish, beans and soy. eat lots of dark, leafy greens like kale and spinach. and eat often....5 or 6 small meals a day. fitness wise you should do some focused weight training with 5-10 lb weights, depending on what you're comfy with, at least 5 sets of 20 crunches a day, and incorporate some sort of stretching routine like yoga or pilates. good luck!

Working out will be the best way to tone along with eating healthy but I am sure you already know that.  I would suggest keeping a journal of everything you consume on a daily basis as well as how you work out.  Being aware will actually help you make sure you are eating right.  You may be surprised at how many fat calories something you eat regularly has.  Then, you can make adjustments and see when you can splurge on occasion.  Do not do any crash diets where you are denying yourself completely from anything you love.  That will usually set you up for failure.  Instead, everything in moderation.

Regarding the post partem belly, sit ups and all its variations will help but if you have excess skin from stretching, there's not a lot that can be done for that save a tummy tuck.  It happens sometimes ;)

...and all the excercises in the world MIGHT NOT make it go back to your pre-pregnancy state, although this slave has heard of some cosmetic procedures that can be done if you are willing to go under the knife, should all else fail.

Daddy has advised me to curtail the bread, pasta, rice and potatoes ...less soda and sugary stuff - which i have done and add more salads, fish, chicken, stir fry veggies and water to my diet. i don't exercise like a fitness nut but i get plenty of it by walking, standing (when i review concerts sometimes up to 5hrs a night) and chasing the active UMs' schedules. now i'm not doing this for Daddy instead i'm doing this for myself and i can tell i've lost weight in my legs - now i'm working on my tummy.

I would say if you are nursing you should not restrict your caloric intact, your body needs those extra calories, but it needs healthy calories and not empty ones. I weighed less than when I got pregnant by the time I quit nursing when he was 11 mos old. I would also say exercise in moderation is very healthy. Pregnancy and nursing tax the body's nutritional reserves.

I've been making efforts to lose weight on my own for awhile, but Valyraen helps a but. He orders me to go to karate class when I'm not feeling like it and really encourages my martial arts studies. He makes salads, or has me make them. Once they are made I will eat them, I just don't like making them.

I am probbly being the odd one out here, but documenting everything I ate drove me batshit crazy. I hated it.  I can't explain why, because I don't have words for how it made me feel, other than agrivated annoyed .but keeping a journal didn't work for me. It made me feel like I'd failed if I didn't remember to journal EVERY little thing I ate.

Plus somethings don't have nutrition info on the package, like ground meat for instance, so I had no clue how many calories were in a meat loaf home grown home cut up vegitables. So I dumped the journaling.

My weight has been up and down for years, seems ironic I spent the first 20yrs trying to put weight on at 5ft 10 in I never managed to get over 7.5 stone and then spent 19yrs after the birth of my daughter thinking I was fat even when I wasn't ... at almost 45 I have still not come to terms with my self image though I accept the fuller figr better now than I ever have.

Like the advice been given to you, I watch the sugar intake, the soda in particular, take aways are a big thing for me, I work long hrs and are often just too exhausted to cook. I take some good things away from my last relationship, through Him I have got into the habit of drinking water, this I intend to continue, I look for more healthy alternatives to fast food, a steak and salad sandwich instead of a greasey burger and chips, salad with a peice of grilled fish instead of batter and chips, like most things in life if you watch the small things the big things will usually fall in to line.

good luck
warm smiles to all

I lost weight very easily and quickly once I stoped drinking juice and stoped eatin bagged microwavable dinners. I stoped eating all those junky things such as pizza pockets, microwave pizza bites, chicken wings. I only ate them once a week, every 3 or four weeks but dam did the crap add up. I also stoped testing at damn near diabetee's level after I stoped all juice consumption.

When you get drinks don't get any with high fructose or corn syroup, Talking rain is good for you if you don't mind it being flavored with splenda, So is Clearly canadian brand of flavored waters, just make sure you get the kind with no fructose or cornsyroup. Water is great too.

There have been alot of good advice on helping to get healther on this thread, and for that.. Thank you.

I have never had a Dom who "made" me diet or lose weight. I have had a few that tried to help me along the way, which I appreciated.

To be honest, I am not sure if I would begin to resent someone who "forced" me to diet because it was what they wanted.

I would like the help of being kept motivated, but not the fear that if I failed at lossing the weight that I wouldn't be good enough to keep as the persons submissive.

just my two cents.

Okie dokie - now here's an area where I feel I can jump in. One of my first posts here, so please be nice to the newbie! lol! :-) I'm 41 years old, a mom of 5 (yeah, all mine - all from this bod), and an Exercise Science & Wellness major, who a couple of years ago got back some vacation pics and thought "hey - who's that old, fat lady? Oh crap, it's ME!" I decided to join a gym, and over-achieving nerd that I am, researched it all like crazy. I gradually realized I loved learning about this stuff and decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in it. Anyway, basically everyone has given some good advice before me, but I would suggest adding strength training. We lose lots of muscle mass as we age (sigh) and so in order to keep the metabolism up, strength training really helps. Just wanted to throw in that tidbit, and say if anyone ever needs help with this stuff, I love talking about it!

honestly, being forced into losing would motivate me not to diet because then it wouldn't be something i'm doing for me but for him just to please his self-centered ego.  also calling me fatty, cow, or any other negativity isn't going to motivate me either. postivie motivation and loving support works though i'm still doing this as way to live a better me.

Pregnancy, childbirth and nursing do both wonderful and terrible things to our bodies.  After giving birth to two 10# babies and nursing them for a year each, I must admit that my tummy has been flabby since.....despite being normal weight, working out daily, doing crunches and all sorts of ab exercises.

And my breasts have never reached their pre-pregnancy size.  The size they needed to expand to in order to be "milk bags" caused them to be on the flabby side for life.

I'm afraid I need to agree with beth on this one.......plastic surgery may be the only answer!

Actually, I hardly eat at all but I don't do anything at all, so someone forcing me to exorcise and go out and be active, is just what I need. My dom can say all day honey go for walks I order you to be out 5 mins a day,, and it'd do zero good, unless he was here to make me go out. However I am right there along with you 100 percent on comments like fatty or cow. I'd never tolerate it from my dom in general, let alone commented about weight.

Ps try not to get into the habbit of food rewards, it's self defeating, lets say you want a reward for loosing 10 pounds, go to a spa get those tired feet pampered. Non food rewards.

It is the same for me on motivation. I would rather have understanding when I am not doing so well, then name calling, and the "good girl" when I did well that week or what not.

(smiles) Now I am having the need to be motived (laughs)

And thank you the reply :)
