I know this is a silly concept, BUT, why not enforce the existing laws on the books when it comes to illegal aliens in this country?
Common sense tells us out it could take at least a decade to get any real semblance of a wall put up.
If we enforced the existing laws on the books, illegal aliens would not find it profitable nor comfortable here in the USA.
Instead of enforcing the laws on the books, to my knowledge, people that enter America illegally can:
Work-they obviously have NO problems getting jobs, many have 2 and 3 jobs in fact.
Send their children to American schools in which most do not pay any taxes to support
Have access to free medical care {which is draining our hospitals and closing many also}
Their children automatically become American citizens
Plenty of ESL classes in schools, and free classes to learn English also.
I would not be surprised if they go to college free, with special grants and loans.
Also I believe they can get forms of welfare, shelter and all manner of assistance from social services.
They even have special programs for illegal aliens to purchase homes.
A person online once in Texas told me, she has family members married to illegals and they were buying million dollar homes down there.
LOL
 
This sounds like heaven to me!!  Of course we are going to continue to have a problem with illegal immigration here.  If I was in a poor town in South America I would have been here already!
My question is, why just limit illegal immigrants from South America?  Why not just import all the poor people all over the world here?  We could send out boats and take in the poor from Africa, India, Russia, East Europe, Vietnam, etc.
At the rate we are going why not?
They get basically the same benefits and freedoms as those of us born here.
I will continue and keep asking!
Mr. Lawmakers, Mr. President, Mr. Senators, Mr. Congressman, Mr. Mayors and Mr. Governors?  Why in the name of Jesus do you not enforce the laws that are on the books?

Why is it to your benefit to ignore this issue?

Status: offline 		As americans we need to stop being mad at the illegals and become mad at our government.
They tell us they are only doing jobs that americans won't do.   They should say  they are only doing
jobs americans can't afford to make a living wage doing.
We all know if we were in their shoes we would do the same thing as far as coming here.  We would
just probably have the decency to learn the language of the land and respect the flag we were living
under.
The employees caught hiring them should be fined stiffly and monitered.   They are our problem !
The illegals should be put back across the border with nothing but the clothes on their backs just the way they got
here.   Use any monies they have earned, sell any valuables they have acquired for the cost of rounding them up and transporting them back.
No amnesty, no welfare, no citizenship.  
You do not take care of your neighbors family until you can take care of your own.

Trying to stop imigration is like trying to stop the world spinning, it just won't happen. If you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by emigrating then you will do it, that is why there are so many people of European stock in the Americas. The only possible way of stopping imigration is to allow poor countries to develop but the developed countries refuse to allow that, prefering protectionism instead. People in developed countries should stop whining, they have exploited other countries for decades, now they are on the receiving end they should find a real solution or just shut up.

All the USA needs to do is enforce the laws that are on the books.
What are laws created for?  Is it okay for us all to begin to break the law?

It is not difficult when you get several people working and not paying any taxes.
I also heard they are trying to make it easier for illegals to obtain mortgages!
It is not fair that they are having trouble qualifying, I lie to you not.   
I think it might be easier to get a home if you are here illegally.

Status: offline 		why is it lately people keep complaining all the time about illegals? can you blame people for being born in a backwards third world society with no jobs or prospect of self-betterment for wanting to come to the US....God forbid- to work! what a crime! the US government should not make working a crime, but it should try to make the immigration process less complex, more down to earth, and allow easier access to educated foreigners who are willing to bust their ass off working...people working is what makes America great, not locals collecting welfare....the only thing I have about illegal immigration is that with those willing to work, criminals also come in (as in people who maim, kill and rob), and the fact that if they want to become "Americans", they should make the effort to learn English and sing the national anthem in English. And by the way, it is a myth that everyone wants to move into the USA....some countries even "south of the border" are doing allright economically.

It's isn't as simple as just saying "enforce the laws." It is a much more complicated problem ... but, I'm more than willing to pay for you to move down to McAllen and pick fruit for a living.
 
By the way, the illegals doing that, make pretty good money. The people that keep insisting (as in, "Say it enough and some dumb fuck might believe it.") that companies are doing it for slave labor, are just ill-informed. In the Rio Grande Valley, there just aren't enough American citizens to drive this thriving industry.

Status: offline 		I will tell you a quick story.  Canada has pretty tough immigration Law, as you may be aware.  We do not want no Mexicans.

Anyways.  I was in Mac's the other day (a convenience store) and there was an Indian behind the counter.  I noticed a "Now Hiring" sign in the window so I was joking with him about aspiring to work at a place with such enticing opportunities for upwards mobility.  Anyways, as it turns out this guy was a full blown engineer.  He graduated from university in India with his engineering degree and served in the pharmaceutical and food industries.  In short, the guy is fucking brilliant.  The government told him when he came that his education would be taken at par, but once he got here he was told he would have to go back to university to "upgrade" his education.  Now he is working for $8.00/hour as a cashier and has not had a raise in three years.  What the hell is wrong with this picture?  The guy has 10 times the brains I have, and I make 8 times as much as he does.

Another friend of mine graduated from university in India with a computer science degree.  She is certified in just about everything, including Cisco.  She currently works as a gas station attendant and has to have a letter every year from an employer just to stay in the country.

In Canada, you either have to have money or you have to be sponsored in order to even get here.  You have to have an education.  And then once you get here you either drive a taxi or run a convenience store.  That is pathetic.

No one is talking about stopping all immigration. People just want ILLEGAL immigration stopped. There are 1.2 million illegal aliens crossing into the United States every year. Some of them could be carrying disease, and terrorists can cross into the US through this route.
Number one way disease is transmitted is through refugees and immigration. This is accoring to the World Health Organization.

We have caught illegals with typhoid fever, measles, whooping cough, and even a case of bubonic plague.
Our hospital rooms are shutting down in the border states. Maternity wards have shut down. In my city there are 3 hospitals. Two of the hospitals have stopped delivering babies because the hospital can no longer afford pregnant illegals going into the ER, having the baby delivered, and then walk out without paying a dime.

This insanity needs to stop. Secure the border!!!

How many millions of jobs have been lost because this stupid government we live under? Spare me the crap that the economy thrives on illegal labor. That's total bull!
