And why are you asking about where is the love in reference to a trip to a pro-domme?  You went to have a service provided, do you also expect love of any sort from waiters, banktellers or strippers?  It's no different:  loving interaction with any Can happen, but it's not inherent to their work. 

The restaurant analogy was spot-on, in my opinion.

Status: offline 		Is it just me, or are we seeing more and more of these kinds of posts these days on the boards here? I, too, in the past have been duped out of money from a professional dominant (although the word "professional" is in question now that I think about it), but I don't hold it against the rest of the dominants who do professional work. I recently got kind of screwed over by a professional dominant I had seen years ago and had a great rapport with, and was shocked that she actually did what she did. But I don't transfer her dishonesty and bad conduct to the rest of the dominants who work.

What I will say, however, is that it has jaded me a bit from seeking out and doing further sessions. If I didn't know a lot of women on a personal basis who were doing professional sessions as a part of their livelihood on a regular basis, I can see how someone might become even further jaded. I know we don't want to "go there", but is it at all possible that a new generation of professional dominants are being infiltrated by some very dishonest people who are sullying the names of those who take the business seriously and with a sense of honor? I'm not usually one to complain myself, and I've mainly distanced myself from a lot of these complaint threads, but since coming back to the lifestyle a few years back, I've done four professional sessions. Three of them displayed very questionable behavior (one of which did about a fifteen minute "scene" in a paid for two hour session); the fourth was a positive experience, but a 25 percent success rate does raise a bit of concern in me, even though we are talking about a very low N of cases.

I wont pretend to be perfect, (though its a near thing), but when we get our little operation off the ground, I cant imagine either of us not providing the service as booked, to the best of our ability and for the time booked. I'd feel that I'd cheated the client, you know?

Wonder if a "what do you expect in/from a paid session" thread might reveal more similar tales? Only without the whininess we so often get about how "girls are mean etc"

jt, keep visiting Pro Dommes.  they are well worth the money. and remember any time you get to spend with Her will always be a precious memory for you. because of who you are you can hardly blame Her when She doesn't have the same opinion of you. think about it

Saying that a pro Domme "duped" you out of your money is like saying, "McDonalds 'duped' me by selling me a bad tasting bugger. I could have mad a better one at home. Whaaaaa whaaaaaaa"*sucks on mommy's nippel*

When you higher a professional you will NOT get an hour of bonding with your destioned mistress... and like in any profession some are good and many others suck. So, ether stop calling them altogether or do your research next time, don't just hand your money over to the first bimbo with a whip calling her self a domme.

If you want to really serve a mistress, then find a woman who wants you to serve her, not one who wants your money.

Yes there are some that are only in it for the money. But money isn't the most important to all of them. I knew one pro-domme that significantly lowered her rate so that a sub she had who ran into financial problems could continue seeing her.

I am not against pro-dommes. If they are serious, they enjoy what they are doing, and not allow money to corrupt the lifestyle...then more power to them.  What I am against is the "financial domination" where a domme takes the subs money without giving anything in return. That does nothing but attract scam artists. And that's why it is frowned upon on CM.
And just today browsing a few profiles I came upon one that only wanted "very wealthy men." That's the biggest red flag there could possibly be. Who in their right mind, even if very wealthy, would write a serious e-mail to someone like that?

LOL...  But there's a serious point to be made. The vanilla public thinks that Dommes are all about causing suffering, rather than teaching surrender and devotion through discipline and reward and helping subs explore the further reaches of sensation--i.e., the public thinks that all subs are basically pain-pigs of one sort or another. The wannabe sub, on the other hand, thinks that Dommes are all about fulfilling *his* kinky fantasy to *his* specifications. These delusions are complementary. The notion of DSSM as a consensual dance with power and powerlessness, pleasure and pain, denial and delight, has not yet entered popular consciousness. Ripoff fake dommes don't help, but neither do illogical whiners with chips on their shoulders about their own submissive tendencies and (I suspect) women in general.

Oh, and jt--why don't you define "beauty" in women while you're at it?
