Thats right food!  Anyone up for discussing food today?  Whats everyone been eating?  I know i'll need some new ideas soon.  I'll go first.

Today..... i've eaten harry and david cheddar cheese, crackers and salmon - with slices of apples to round out the flavor.  I was actually NOT impressed with the sesame crackers - or cheese - OR salmon.  I much prefer BJ's salmon.  Bout an hour later i ate my fresh grown tomatoes in balsamic vinegar with fresh grown cilantro and some other herbs.  With a glass of milk.  I've randomly eaten green beans from the plant too.  they were yucky  = (

Whats everyone else eaten today?

I have been very, very bad this week and will be going to the market today to get some more healthful choices for My Weight Watchers plan.

I am sorry to report that I had pancakes with butter and syrup this morning.  Fortunately, that is all I have eaten so far today, as I am planning to do an hour of yoga and don't eat for three hours before My practice.  Otherwise, I am sure some other items would have found their way into My mouth.

I recently purchased a couple of Weight Watchers cookbooks  as well as the 2006 Cooking Light Annual Recipes cookbook.  Many of the recipes actually look pretty good and I am sure I will be trying some of them soon.

I've eaten some seriously unhealthy stuff today . Tomorrow, I go at 8:30 AM to get tested for diabetes. Come the new year, I'm going on a 75% raw food diet-- I'm dedicating 2007 to getting my health under control, big time.

I have been eating healthy these past few months, and it is paying off....As I tell everyone who asks..what are you eating, I say...drinking water and sucking air!!...just kidding, but it sure feels like it.

Good for you  and best wishes in getting your health under control in the New Year.

I have heard a lot about raw food diets.  They definitely offer a lot of benefits.  I am not so sure I have the discipline to adhere to one, but the people I know of who do follow that way of eating look and feel fantastic.

Water is a huge key to it, cuddles . I've almost entirely given up sodas, and turned up my water intake, and I don't get nearly as hungry, and I'm getting all the positive benefits for my health.

We need water!

Thanks, Lady Topaz .

I don't know if I will ever go 100% raw, but I love fruits and vegetables and salads and nuts, so I can handle most of it. I'm looking at a large smoothie for breakfast, fruit at mid-morning, a large salad at lunch, and oatmeal, beans, soups or such for dinner. I've read quite a bit on it the last couple of weeks, and it just makes so much sense, and I'm tired of being tired lol. I want to be lean and clean, and sharp-minded, and with some serious energy-boosting.

Oh, and plenty of exercise, including nightly yoga, weights a couple of times a week, and at least 30 minutes on a bike each morning.

I had large home made double chocolate chip cookies and whole milk for breakfast this morning followed with Hot Chocolate heavy on the cream and marshmellows.

Damn holidays. Is it "Tis the season to be jolly" or "Tis the season to gain a little weight"  ?

You couldn't have asked this on a worse day (breakfast and dessert anyway)....lol. My son has been visiting from out of state for the last couple of days and when he is here he wants all of his favorites.

For breakfast I made Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffles with walnuts in heavy syrup...topped with fresh whipped cream.

Lunch was Grilled Chicken Breast on a bed of assorted greens w/Rasperry Vinaigrette.

Dinner will be Venison Tenderloins, Cilantro Lime Rice and Asparagus.

Chocolate Marble Cheesecake for Dessert.

I had leftover Hamburger Helper for breakfast, and the only exercise I'm getting today is hours of 12 ounce can curls. I am planning on making red beans and rice with okra and sausage in the next couple days, though.

I'm so happy finals are over.

Chicken and noodles!  Just now, sitting here at the computer.  And it makes me really happy, because I boiled the chicken last thursday because I wanted to make fresh egg noodles, but shit kept happening, and I didn't have time to make the noodles.  Untill just a little while ago, when I said to myself, I don't care what else needs to be done, I'm makeing egg noodles, dammit!

Earlier today, I had a whopper jr for lunch.  And, some string cheese and ham for breakfast.

Yesterday was a bad day.  Nothing but donuts and brownies most the day and a hamburger at a function I had to go to.  By the end of it, I felt really crappy from too much sugar, so I said, no sugar today!

Catering a lunch meeting tomorrow...

Making Imperial Twins:   split English muffin topped with tomato, dijon, crabmeat and sharp cheddar then broiled.
Green salad with pecans, blue cheese, dried cherries tossed in vinaigrette.
Tiramisu cupcakes for dessert...espresso chocolate sponge cake base topped with a marscapone and Kahlua frosting and grated chocolate.

Should go over fairly well.

I've been so damn busy this semester I really haven't had any down time to cook.  If I can get a day off soon, I am desparate to make homemade ravioli...haven't done that in ages.

Yes......Replace the sugary drinks like soda pop with just plain, ice cold water, and the difference is astounding.

I view drinks like Coke and Pepsi much the same way as tobacco products - Prolonged use will shorten your life span and make it miserable right before you get ready to cash in.
