Letters of the alphabet that people that can't spell think don't exist.

EbonyWood -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:29:49 PM)

SL4V3M4YB3 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:31:50 PM)

EbonyWood -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:36:44 PM)

You like your Tea IC.

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:38:58 PM)

DNA codes for four amino acids (?)

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:41:24 PM)

The four amino acids that make up DNA?

Adenine
Cytosine
Guanine
Thymine

Not sure about my spelling.

EbonyWood -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:43:44 PM)

Exactly right Lance and DC. Nice job.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:44:32 PM)

This is the result of what happens when you force me to clutch at straws by not allowing me to use Google.[:D]

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 5:49:20 PM)

I knew it when I read it.  And of course, thought "Do I really want to answer since I got nuthin'?" BRB

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 6:02:08 PM)

Renato de Zavagli
Romain de Tirtoff
Jascha Brojodo
Samuel Brostofsky

GOOD LUCK to all! (No, that's not a hidden clue. LOL)

EbonyWood -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 6:05:22 PM)

Wow. This one looks so NOT up my alley.

To get close, I would be asking Mr Google, so enjoy folks.

Wolf2Bear -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 6:05:57 PM)

Vintage poster artists?

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/4/2009 6:47:40 PM)

True of the first two.  Not so sure of the 3rd or 4th. Keep going bear, but make it EZ on yourself!

EW: Mr. Google can play.... part of the fun as poster is to try and make the quartet "google proof."  I doubt if one typed the four gun names, one would get the answer.

Likewise, I doubt you'd get any pages back after entering those four gentlemen's names.  However, enter one at a time and see if you yourself - not Mr. Google - can deduct what the answer is.

BLEAH!  I typed in each name seperately and learned the third is misspelled.... What a super easy way to make the puzzle "google proof." LOL /said with a hint of shame in Lance's voice/

Current quartet:

Renato de Zavagli
Romain de Tirtoff
Jascha Brojdo (I had one too many o's in there - sorry!)
Samuel Brostofsky

spiceguy2009 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/5/2009 7:45:53 AM)

They were all fashion designers, and all born in the Ukraine, so also all were Russian

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/5/2009 8:31:40 AM)

Nope. "Fashion" in only the broadest sense of the word.  The first two are French. third Polish, fourth is American.
Y'all are making this too hard on yourselves.  NOT their birthplace, not their occupations although they were all designers of fashion and household items, glass, ceramic, etc.  The second was exclusively a painter under this name. (HEY! Lance, don't give them such a BIG clue...... that hidden clue about "make it EZ" was WAY too much help already........ Bad Lance, bad, bad Lance!)

spiceguy2009 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/5/2009 8:40:59 AM)

All worked under pseudonyms, these were their birth names

Renato de Zavagli - René Gruau
Romain de Tirtoff - Erté
Jascha Brojdo - Georges Briard
Samuel Brostofsky
- Sascha Brastoff
