Baltimoreans don't hate Hines Ward, they just hate him b/c he's on the Steelers. If BAL could sign him, he'd be a hero here.

I must say, tho, more than any other player right now on the Steeler's roster, Hines Ward just seems to kill BAL in crucial situations. I thought he did the same thing against SD.

If Hines Ward was removed from the roster of the Steelers, it would completely change the color the PITT offense. He's the team's biggest play making receiver in crunch time. He's money in the bank, making the catch, getting open, and making yards after the catch.

. . . not to mention knocking the snot out of defenders when block. A lot of WRs block by just getting in a defender's way, but he tries to level them.

Jon Gruden and the GM got fired today.  Gruden gets $15 million remaining on his contract over the next 3 years, so not sure how broken up he is over this.  On an amusing note, Keyshawn Johnson (on an ESPN soundbite) today referred to Gruden as a "car salesman".  Elaborating that he "can sell anything" and perhaps the owners got tired of the b.s.  I guess he's still pissed at Gruden over what happened a few years ago.

That PITT defense was suffocating and bone jarring. I imagine Polamalu will be the game MVP of that contest.

Wow, Larry Fitzgerald, what a stud.  Seriously, Kurt Warner should be man-hugging him (post game press conference), early and often.

So cool that the Steelers will play the Cardinals, a team under the leadership of former Steeler coaches.

LAM - I thought the Eagles would go in there and slap the Cardinals around.  Kurt Warner had a ton of time to make plays and you just can't give him that.  And Larry Fitzgerald in the first half.  Well, wow.

A few quick questions to the "Steeler Nation" people out there.

A: did it appear  Simms and his cohort where rooting  a bit for the rookie coach and QB?

B: Doesn't the NFL mke it enough money? Now they want to STEAL Myron's "Terrible Towel" and call it the  TITLE TOWEL???????????  Some marketing dept they have!

I have noticed that commentators sometimes drink the Steeler hateraide.
About the towels, I don't think anything will replace the gold Terrible Towels.
And the NFL will never have enough money.  It's about big time revenue and it's big business.

And I have to add that I think Flacco is all that and these playoff experiences will only serve to make him a better QB.

I was pulling for my 2nd team, the Iggles, and was hoping LAM was right about a Pa. SB.
Now I have no dog in this race and will sit back on SB Sunday and just enjoy the game. My arm is just starting to grow back from where I chewed it off during last years SB.

Of course,if Glasgow Celtic supporters formed a squad to compete at this pastime,all the helmets and pads on the planet would not prevent a Glaswegian Victory (and I'm only speaking of HALF the city) (except for protecting "mammies boys" ....what exactly ARE all the helmets and pads for ?????)
