Wow, the guys on ESPN radio just called my Seahawks the best 3 and 11 team out there, and they are in fact beating the Jets at the moment... in the snow, in Seattle.

It might be better if they go ahead and choke again though. They might get a slightly better draft pick that way...

The main lesson to be learned from these results appears to be that locking up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs may NOT be an advantage at all -- if your goal is to win the Super Bowl. However, you do seem to put yourself in a better position to at least reach the final game, as more than 50 percent of the No. 1 seeds since 1975 have made the Super Bowl. But recent history suggests a mild "home-field advantage curse" -- in the last 6 seasons, only one No. 1 seed has won the Super Bowl, 3 have failed to win a playoff game and 5 have disappointed fans by making the Super Bowl but losing in the big game. So, my advice to all you Giants, Panthers, Titans and Steelers fans -- don't worry too much about these next two weeks, a loss or two may provide that extra motivation needed to make a deep playoff run and may be the final ingredient to winning a championship this season.

Story about Importance of #1seeds

Yea, they sucked wind today. Which was good for me. What the hell was Mangina doing going for it on 4th ? And how heart stopping was that miss by Coles ? I was sure he had it.

PS: Nice little "moment" after the game between Favre and Holmgren.

I think we're FINALLY witnessing the end of Brett Favre's career.  It's kinda ugly.

I wish he'd remained retired.  He looked sad at the post game press conference, and completely not owning his fault in the loss.

My uncle Mike (who liked to back his guess on the outcome of sporting events with money he didn't have)  taught me a very valuable lesson at the luncheon after my communion.  He said, "Always remember there will be times that a woman will not fuck you.....but the Jets........they will always always fuck you"

Hehe we may be back though!  And then perhaps Ben will have learned how not to drop the ball and throw to the guys in the white jerseys.  Love the Black and Gold.

Yeah, I was afraid of this. I said it back in September on a Jets board. I said at the time, "yeah, you'll love him in September and October. You'll probably still like him in November. But when December comes, and you see for yourselves why so many of us Packer fans were ready to let him go, please don't be too hard on the poor bastard. He's doing the best he can, he just doesn't have it anymore." At least he gave it one more shot, and he doesn't have to spend the rest of his life wondering if he retired too early.

Yo 68.....I believe Uncle Mike would say....  "Number one seed in the NFC.......Home field advantage throughout the playoffs.....11-4 against the spread......and....my lawyer fucked me."

Well, both teams played well.  The Panther's d-line was tired and beaten by the end of the game, but it's not as though the Giants blew them out.  If there's a rematch in the NFC championship game, it should be very competitive.

Over 300 rushing yards says it won't be that competitive if they meet again.Particularly if our DB's can hold onto some of the potential gifts Delhomme threw us.
