The Titans showed that the can run and pass.  Kerry Collins threw for 280 yesterday.  whoa.  Steelers play them in the final game of the regular season.  I hope someone is able to beat them before then.

  *sobs*

My Niners led for 3 quarters last night against those damned Cardinals and they still lost. The good news is that with Singletary in as Coach, I think they're doing a lot better already and I have high hopes for them! They've had the players, just not a head coach who was playing them properly. (I'm old enough to remember watching Singletary as a player in the 80's so this should be good!)

If nothing else, Singletary makes for great drama.  What with pulling down his pants and showing some locker room ass!

Well, yes. I'm just enjoying the fact that the worst team in the conference led the best team in the conference for 3 quarters. It's not much, but hey!! Have you seen the 49'ers record for the last few years? At this point, I take the happiness any way I can!!!!

Kerry Collins is closing in on 40,000 yards passing and will soon be passing Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana in passing yards.

That was an exciting finish last night. Kurt Warner to A. Boldin is a great QB-WR threat. Shaun Hill looks like a gamer and Mike Singletary looks like a HEAD COACH.

I will assume you meant to say the Division, the best team in the Conference, hell the best team in the NFL is the New York Football Giants....I will book no discussion on this matter

Have you seen the way they've played the last few years, Ray? I have, so yes, it's an improvement. Besides, as bad as it's been, we can only go up from here!

(And this is Rain - Lumus doesn't watch football. I'm a West Coast brat who grew up being taken to the Niners games by my dad....)

Meh, Giants, schmiants.....  *winks*  I was referring to the NFC West division as you assumed. See what happens when I'm devastated about my team losing yet again, even though it's just about all we've done for years now? (Plus I hadn't had my morning tea?)

I will forgive your original mistake.....But flipping me the bird....and referring to the Super Bowl Champion Giants as schmiants....well that is simply unforgivable, lucky thing you happen to be on the wrong coast...

Are there any who would still contest the Giants place at the top of the heap....Tennesse be dammed.

W00t! I do not understand why that final TD didn't count, but it doesn't change the outcome.  I thought the Steelers could decline the penalty and get the TD.

Katy, might not have affected the outcome but it sure affected the books in Vegas.A 64 million dollar swing as a result of that curious call at the end.Penalties in this game 13 on the Steelers.....2 on San Diego resulting in a 5 yard total.....curiouser and curiouser!!!!

And please, check out the stats on the game, if you go by that alone Pittsburgh killed them.  But 13 penalties is awful.  What is with the officiating this year?  I expect the officials to be well-versed in the rule book.  They blew that final call.

There is a whiff of stink on this one Katy. The game seemed to be officiated in an unbalanced way.Mike and Mike on Sportscenter came right out and said "if this was the NBA Congress would be launching an investigation"....than went to great lengths to distance themselves from claiming that something untoward concerning the betting line was taking place.
