Hey!

This has been a weird season, to say the least.

It looks like Favre is a real bad ass.  Why didn't he stay retired?

I think it has something to do with that new book he wrote:

hehe

I do like Arizona, but don't tell anyone.  They have many ex-Steelers coaches and it's tough for me to feel the appropriate level of hate.  I can't hate Whis.

And Jay Cutler, what is wrong with him?  He went off on Philip Rivers.  Why?

The Jets pounded Arizona to smithereens and the Jets are a mediocre team.  I don't think Arizona is very good.  They just play in a crappy conference.

I do not watch baseball, I don't follow it, but it's hard to avoid talk of Jose Canseco when I turn on ESPN.  Has he lost his mind?

I love drama in the NFL.  Officials visited the Steelers yesterday to discuss things such as Hines Ward's fines without penalities and the Ravens bounty on Steeler players.

On a different note -- I REALLY like that NFL commercial showing LT and Troy Polamalu as kids growing up. Cool concept, but I think it was a stroke of genius to set it to that Ennio Morricone tune that was in For A Few Dollars More (I think). Now I'm humming that tune every day.

Three more interceptions today for Favre, including one returned for 6.  Yeah, I know, he throws touchdown passes too.  There's just a few too many of them that are touchdown passes to the other team.

Punter, long snapper, anyone got some to spare?  Maybe the Steelers can practice every defensive player this week and find a suitable long snapper.  The game today, 4 INTs, 1 safety, it was a painful exhibition.

Well, but that loss wasn't a big shame.  The Giants are the better team.  With the exception of that snoozer against Cleveland, they're playing the same way they did last year in the playoffs: nothing flashy, no mistakes, and by the fourth quarter the defense has taken over the line of scrimmage and worn out the other team.

Well, 4 INTs and 1 safety ain't exactly a thing of beauty to behold!

We are rife with injuries and they keep piling up with every game.  I can't recall it ever being this bad.

And about tempory filling in for the position of long snapper, wouldn't it make more sense to put the center or back up center in there, instead of a defensive player?  I'll admit I don't know tons about the sport, just speaking from the point of who handles the ball more.

Even after winning something like 11 out of the last 12 games, the Giants' defense is still underrated.  They sure generate a lot of pressure with four down linemen.

If someone had told me before the season that the Titans would be undefeated now with Kerry Collins at QB, I would have suggested he see a psychiatrist.
