I'm sure Norv Turner and the entire Charger org is thinking that today.

It's the truth, but what can you do.

Well, I wouldn't start a fight with Hoculi, he could hurt ya    [:D]

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/15/2008 9:04:49 PM)

that was the best football game i EVER saw....and the eagles covered the spread!!!  41-37!!!  funny how that hardly no scoring in second half ..it could have been a basketball score....

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/16/2008 9:35:01 AM)

The Cowboys look tough. Romo is also extremely like-able. I scratch my head wondering how they have all that talent under the salary cap.

On offense, the Cowboys arguably have the #1 TE and #1 WR in football along with a top-ten QB, top ten RB combo. The defense looks formidable as well.

It also looks like the balance of power has shifted to the NFC.

Sanity -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/21/2008 7:11:41 PM)

Seattle broke their losing streak today (finally). They beat the Rams by nearly the same score that the NY Giants beat the Rams by last week... so I'm slightly relieved by that. It seems like half the Seahawks are injured! [:o]

I'm watching Dallas vs. Green Bay right now, Dallas is up 13 - 6 at the moment, I bet Level's watching. Oh oh, big play - 1st & goal for GB now.

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/21/2008 7:14:41 PM)

denver is going 16-0..look at how easy their schedule is....especially now that we know new england is a piece of shit!!! bahahaha!!!

Sanity -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/21/2008 7:25:34 PM)

I was watching that game tonight... Denver literally dodged a bullet right at the end.

And THAT was against New Orleans!

Nothing personal, but I seriously doubt the Denver Broncos are going 16 - 0 this year.

The Boise Broncos though - that's another story!!!

nothing new...its always close.... kansas twice, oakland, miami, cleveland, carolina, jets, tampa, only teams that might beat them:buffalo, new england(after today i doubt it), and jax (who is having major trouble)....the last game is san diego and we all know what happened first time.

Steelers v. Ravens next week. The AFC North is on the line.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (9/22/2008 7:10:13 AM)

Lane Kiffin is (rumored) to be getting fired today.

The Steelers Iggles game was tough to take.  I hope we get it gether before next Monday, as the Ravens also like to Blitz.

TahoeSadist -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/18/2008 7:31:13 AM)

So now that we're approaching the halfway point of the season, how's it going for you? Personally, I'm pleased with the way the Steelers are playing as a team and finding ways to work around the injuries thus far. It just reinforces my view that good does indeed triumph over evil. That and I'm enjoying the drama with:

the Cowboys/Pacman/Romo show (who'da thunk TO would become a minor drama queen?)

Raiders/Kiffin (but wait there's more)

Lambs/Linehan

Lions/Millen

mnnn Lane Kiffin mmnn (I'm sure that's not the response you were expecting.)

I am pleased with the Steelers with one huge caveat.  We can't have our franchise qb take the sort of hits he's been taking for the duration of the season.  Not a good thought.

You gotta love the fact that Jerry Jones hires a guy to babysit Pacman and Pacman ends up beating him up in a restroom.  Who didn't see that sort of thing coming?

And also in the news is the fact that Tom Brady's is having issues recovering his knee.

** waves to Katy **
I'm back ! I missed you guys.
Tom got an infection post op. He's on Antibiotics and suppose to be fine. He better be !
I truely think he not only tore his MCL and ACL, but suffered a concussion. He chose a former Rams Team MD to do his surgery ? Definately not in his right mind. I am convinced the surgeon spit in his knee before closing and tried to end Tommy's career for good.

This one's for you, Katy. Precious's halo is drooping.

As I am posting this, Rodney Harrison just went down. They had to lift him onto the cart, and the look in his eyes said it all. I think he just waved his final good bye. Not going to be popular, but I love Rodney. And will miss his Sports radio interviews every Monday.  He is a funny guy, a smart ass like myself. :)

Katy:
What's up with Ward ? Do you think he will be fined ? I watched the hit quite a few times, and it looked clean to me. Always hoped you guys would cut him and we could snatch him up.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/20/2008 8:34:29 PM)

As I told my Mom (diehard football fan) after the game, Brett Favre may be a Hall-of-Fame quarterback, but he throws too many fucking interceptions.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/20/2008 8:42:18 PM)

That is a byproduct of throwing all those fucking touchdowns.....

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/20/2008 8:45:08 PM)

No it's not.  There's such a thing as an interception RATE, and Favre's is too high.  Joe Montana used to throw a lot of touchdowns too.

DomOnTheLevel -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/20/2008 8:45:36 PM)

Well, the Titans are doing pretty well and with some adversity too.

I have a lot more emotionally invested with my Tennessee Vols, but they are spinning downward to the bottom of the SEC heap. :(

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/20/2008 8:46:14 PM)

The Vols are still in the SEC?

They are until Bammer knocks the stuffing out of them on Saturday.  :(
