Apparently the Lions are "still alive" according to that CBS Sportsline page.  Someone should call the team and let them know.  I'm pretty sure they're arranging tee times for January right now.

Tough luck Katy :P.

Wow do I ever feel happy for the Dolphins. They looked like they won the superbowl.

Tony Romo's girlfriend in sissy pink jersey.  Trust me, no serious chick would choose pink over her team's weal colors.

She needs to stay home, quit jinxing my guys! [:)]

Cleveland encroaching on the AFC North title is not pleasant.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/17/2007 8:29:10 AM)

I think you guys are still a lot better than the Browns, but yesterday's game proved that the Steelers are only #4 in the conference.  Your front seven looked really weak against the Jaguars' line, and I don't care what the numbers say, that is not the best defense in the NFL.  In fact, I'd say the offense looked better than the defense.

Bad weather, home-field advantage, obvious playoff implications...this was a big game for Pittsburgh, and they squandered all their advantages.

Lam's gratuitous rankings:

AFC:
Patriots
Colts
Jaguars
Steelers
Chargers
Browns

NFC:
Packers
Cowboys
Vikings
Buccaneers
Giants
Seahawks

Congrats to Romeo Crennel for turning one hell of a crappy team into a playoff contender!

Edited to add: I still think the Colts can beat those fucking Patriots, but it's not possible to rank them ahead of the Pats until they actually DO beat them.

Yep, I'm glad I was saved from watching that game.

*digging grave for the steelers divison title hopes* Just one more game, boys, one more game...

It looks like  it will go down to the wire as to who will possess the best record....Looks like Romo isn't quite as "precious" as once viewed.

Let the games begin!!!  I think that the Bears will give the Pack a tough game.  It depends on whether Kyle can deliver.

It was important for Washington to get by the Giants....Makes their Dallas game of supreme importance.

Go Pack!!!

Well, the Minneasota Vikings have won 5 in
a row. The Monday Night Foot game against
Da' Bears wasn't exciting or outstanding, but
a win none the less, hope we can grab a Wild Card!

Missy.

If they learn to stop turning the ball over, they're going to be a pretty dangerous team next year.

NEW YORK (AP) - Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams was suspended without pay for one game Monday by the NFL after his third illegal "horse collar" tackle of the season.
Williams, whose use of the tactic led to the league passing a rule making it a 15-yard penalty, did it against Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb in Sunday's 10-6 loss. He will miss Saturday night's game at Carolina.

Grabbing the inside collar of the back of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling down a runner brings a 15-yard personal foul.

Sanity -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/18/2007 5:01:54 AM)

On their good days, the Seahawks could beat the Colts or the Patriots. On their not-so-good days, they could make the Dolfins dance like they had just won the Superbowl.

Consistency just isn't their forte at the moment.

Real0ne -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/18/2007 1:46:00 PM)

yeh how about dem dar packers!

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/18/2007 1:50:30 PM)

First off, I still think that Romo is nearly precious.  Of course he's not Favre league precious, but that is a lofty ideal.

I'm nervous.  About the Steelers-Browns-Titans wildcard and/or AFC North title thingy.

I get hard when you type "thingy"....For Christmas I would like nothing more than a Dallas loss coupled with a Packer victory....Of course let us not forget the two of us mating atop the bony piles....The view would be breathtaking.

Could Brett be anymore precious if he tried?

My new porn name is Donald Driver.
