My pre-teen son went to bed upset, worried about his minority friends and what they will face now.
That's what happens when you're a leftist nut who fills your kid's head with garbage.

Fuck off. You know nothing of my family and how I raise my son, what I do or don't tell him. You know nothing of what he has seen.

I think you'll find the Republicans will replace it with a big helping of "Go fuck yourselves".

Actually Trump is not against universal health care at all, I know Far Right is.
So it would be interesting to see the revamp.
End of the day the reason why republicans don't like Trump too is because his policies are not exact far right either. He is quite centrist.
It's just that the model the Obamacare is running at the moment is not working for truly making it more affordable for everybody. And needs a solution.

There's a great misunderstanding both within the US and especially among foreign observers. It's presumed that the 'rats are to the left and the reptiles are to the (far) right. In fact, the 'rats are unashamedly and relentlessly marxist, while the "establishment" reptiles are actually left of center. They work together. There's not much room for representation of the actual right outside the house of misrepresentatives and an occasional senator. We sure haven't had a good true right major party presidential candidate since Goldwater.

Trump is NOT a hard rightist, but he's upset the apple cart. Jeb Bush had been selected as the designated loser in this election, but he was such a complete fuckup that he was a non-starter. Trump has the reptiles so upset because he's breaking the game. He's thrown a monkey wrench in the cooperation between the rats and establishment reptiles, and that threatens their safe little empires. How rude!

They won't face anything.
That's so crazy that people think Trump is against minorities.
He is against illegals. Not minorities.

He isn't scared of Trump. He Is scared of what racist bigots who now feel validated will do. You aren't here to see how emboldened people have become and what attitudes have become accepted throughout the election cycle. He sees it.

Marini -> RE: NYT Real Time Election Forecast (11/8/2016 10:01:26 PM)

I actually thought he had basically zero chance of being elected.

If he wins, this means the media machine {which she owns} was way off.

Wayward5oul -> RE: NYT Real Time Election Forecast (11/8/2016 10:03:31 PM)

It's not so much Trump as it is his supporters that we deal with on a daily basis

Obamacare is anything but Affordable though. It needs to be replaced with something that actually provides affordable care.

I have a degree of admiration for the CPF system you may be familiar with. While forcing anything grates a touch on my anarchist's soul, forcing people to save some money sounds better than forcing people to buy something that doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure you can't. That throne of condescension that you sit yourself upon doesn't quite reach high enough for you to get any kind of credible view of what goes on in my little corner of the world.

Your kid has gone to bed in tears because of the bullshit fears you've fed him. If that doesn't scream "awful parent", I don't know what fucking does.

What you call relentless antagonism, I see as more of looking out for our own interests. What you see as a trade war,
I see as a careful review of trade agreements. After a good few years of NAFTA, I still don't favor it. I neither favor the TPP nor trust the people behind it. Why is it wrong to have these out in the open, and negotiate them on demonstrable interests rather than simply presume these guys are working in our interests? Maybe they got it right. Show me, don't tell me.

You're assuming that a re-negotiation with partners who are unwilling to negotiate will lead to better, not worse terms. It seems highly unlikely that suddenly deciding that a certain agreement is unfair is going to go over well, since the country you're negotiating with is already going to be pissed off that you're being such a whiny baby about it. You'll just end up with a lot of bitterness and broken promises, with neither party willing to budge, and in the meantime jobs will be lost.

This is exactly what happened under Herbert Hoover, exactly what deepened the Great Depression... you can't hold the global economy hostage and expect people to just fall at your feet.

I don't even know where all of this entitlement came from to begin with... Americans typically know next-to-nothing about the outside world, so I highly doubt they looked at other countries and decided that they were somehow ripping America off based on a careful consideration of their living standards, etc. I honestly think they're voting based on some idea of China being a paradise full of wealthy manufacturers who are exploiting America through Walmart or whatever. I get the whole 1% thing, but wasn't OWS a liberal thing? So instead of asking for your money back in terms of social programs or higher taxes, you're just going to ruin your own economy and who cares if you suffer worse than they do as long as you know they're not as rich as they used to be?

Those jobs are not coming back, the 1950s are not coming back, you've elected a fucking moron, humiliated your country and panicked the world. I'm seriously thinking about dropping out of society, because a world where someone like this can be elected, despite warnings from everyone who knows better including members of his own party, is truly scary. The animals are running the zoo.

I have seen some of the lunatic fringe that is attempting to attach themselves to Trump.
He and his family have publicly denounced them.
Since I have said repeatedly for almost a year, I disliked both candidates I am not worked up at all.
I was prepared for eternal bitching and moaning regardless who won.
But Hill supporters are becoming unhinged.

Reading comprehension. ..it's a thing. I never said he was in tears.

As for the rest, as I said, you don't know anything about my family, how he is raised, who all is involved, what he has seen himself happen with people around here since Trump's rise.

Now go sprinkle your ignorance dust elsewhere...I have mentioned a couple of times here lately, as have others, that you have little to offer to discussions anymore, aside from attitude. I seen no reason to be bothered with it. You are going on hide. Please feel free to do the same.

Our CPF system forces people to save but also use a portion of that money to buy compulsory government run health insurance, and it is an opt out system, most people are automatically opted in, but it is a choice at the least.

Our government run health insurance covers all pre-existing conditions. But we have government run hospitals too which are super cheap, so basically it's all government handled and run so that costs can be kept low and affordable.

But compared to Obama care and Obama care seem to have worst deductibles than us. Ours are definitely much cheaper.

And the quality of our government hospital is actually even better than private hospitals.

I feel like the very strange things about the US is, they need to improve on efficiency. Like go back to being best at everything. Like best health care, best medically runned system, best manufactured products in terms of quality.

It's like, "Made in USA" is no longer well sort after. The thing I liked about Trump is, he sees this, and he wants US to be the best in the world for everything again. So I like his direction.

And being competent at getting the right health care system that will fit the country and really works is something I hope Trump will be able to make happen.

With Trump there is a chance.

With Hillary, you will get the same failed thing she has been fighting for all her life. Health care was one of her big failed projects when her husband was President.

Right, so let's get this straight. Your pre-teen son went to bed without any visible indication of being upset and you just read his mind did you?

Or perhaps - as is more likely - you're completely fucking full of shit and are using a child as a fucking prop for your politics. Absolutely disgusting.

A) You're the one who tried to use your kid as a political prop.
B) Your job as a parent is to protect him from the world, including irrational fears based upon speculation about what Trump's constituency MIGHT do (because you've told him they're all racists). You've either clearly failed to do that or you were lying in the first instance.
C) You having me on hide is fantastic. It's one less source of stupidity which would otherwise try and derail actual conversations.

What a fucking drama queen.
