Yeah, cut out the 450 Tanks they dont need the billions in aircraft that dont work contract, slice off any officer above captain at a desk that is not directly joint chiefs and direct support.

Start with real shit.

Oh that makes sense. Get rid of equipment and the chain of command. We would have the blind leading the blind for sure.

We have that now. I wonder what chain of command exists in the desk jockeys and they guy with a gun?

And you are retired and nobody is calling you a useless welfare desk jockey, nor are you shoveling 450 tanks on the Army they don't want, nor airplanes that dont work on the whole armed forces.
