Nah, he just read the study showing the carbon footprint of a cheeseburger and is willing to sabotage the future of the USA and the planet so he can keep eating dead flesh.
Kind of an alarming study, US meat consumption may exceed SUVs in total carbon footprint?

Not to change the subject of global warming (Which isn't a few decades event some keep trying to use as an argument) and the foolishness of isolating warmer water among all the effects of the changing CO2 in the biosphere (NO carbonate shell organism, such as corals, is evolved to survive in the predictable pH ocean of an unremediated anthropogenic carbon future) but .....
we have less time than we thought to fix the mess.
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/10/131009133216.htm
Which is nice, in a way. Instead of Global Warming being our children's and grandchildren's doom, it turns out it will arrive in multiple catastrophic scenarios within the lifetime of most reading this. Yay! (Well, not me, I'm old.) Sorta gives a more personal element to the discussion? Will YOU be able to afford AC when the shit really hits the fan? Will you Have electricity? Or afford food that costs multiples of today's? When you can get it? Or have the social support network (Militia) to survive the collapse of much of our industrial civilization as trade collapses and the Great Depression starts to look like a Sunday Picnic?
If a bit of Wall Street foolishness almost brought us to our knees, what will wide spread ecological and economic collapse for 1/4 of the planet (The Tropics) and it's food production do? Remember, most of the planet now lives in urban population centers where there is no local food growing capability nor water to sustain either food production or simple human thirst. Urbanites survive on local, regional and international trade of massive dimensions. Strike out enough suppliers, partners and customers and we suffer much the same fate. No single country now has the resources to sustain technological civilization even in our present more benign environment. The growing stresses increase energy and material needs for the foreseen future. Even totally free and unlimited energy as a game changer only removes one economic issue. Energy use always liberates heat, so human bodies and their energy use have warming implications for the planet independent of carbon dioxide liberation.
It's going to be a Great Century!

That predicition is based on climate models, and so far they've been doing about as good as picking tomorrow's winners using yesterday's Racing Form.

Sure that must be why temperature rise is right where the models predict.

Notice that faint line that is within about a 1/1000th of a degree of the much brighter blue line? That's your standard denial tactic at work. Also climate models don't try and predict precisely the weather for one year but the overall trends and as anyone with a brain can see the actual temps are tracking inside the models even with the bullshit chicanery of the author of that graph.

Fuck your "denial tactic" shit. I posted a graph. A graph that shows only one model out of 44 skirted reality. And don't hand me that "one year" crap either. The models have been diverging and their divergence increasing for 15 years now.

As "anyone with a brain" (to adopt your phrase) can see.

Fuck you and the lies you keep telling. Climate is not weather and climate modeling aims to get yearly temps close but to get the trends right over decades. And even if only one model, which you admit, gets the temp right then you cannot truthfully claim that no models did get it right which is what you claimed.
