ORIGINAL: slvemike4u Just arrived back home, after a harrowing late afternoon/early evening trek down I-95,left New York to escape the winter.....ran into a winter wonderland of accidents spin outs and stranded vehicles. Left New York Thursday but grew too tired to drive straight through....so I stopped for the evening......bad decision, real bad. I compounded that by sleeping late this morning. I-95 turned into an ice rink....I didn't want to turn the whole thing into a three day trek....so I just kept driving along, the further I drove the less sense stopping seemed. But I'm getting older and driving with my ass puckered for 6 hours is hell on the nervous system. Never happier to park a car in my life. I quite agree, yesterday the high was 80 degrees, today it only managed to hit 58. And I am not being sarcastic, this has been the mildest winter in my memory, while east texas has been slammed with Ice storms and other winter conditions. We need the snow, ice, freezing rain and what ever other moisture we can get to break this 9 year drought. Mike, I know I am not one of your favorite people, but would you please send all that snow and stuff to west texas?
