I was just noticing how so many Dominant's (mainly male) have this on their profile but have a picture up proudly displaying their beer belly's and bodies that are very much NOT HWP. I dunno but it would seem to me that you might get further in your desire for a "HWP" (height weight proportionate) sub/slave if you took the initiative to be HWP yourself. Now I admit I am NOT HWP, not even close baby lol Which I share on my profile truthfully. I am working on getting there mind you because of health issues. But I just had to take a minute and say out loud what others are probably saying to themselves. Maybe it's part of my southern heritage I dunno, and I apologize if I offend.

Welcome to the Internet, where you can live in a fantasy of your own creation and expect others to join you in it. Best advice: Hide the profile and move on. It's not worth concerning yourself.

You might be right that this isn't a great marketing strategy (although there must be some height-weight-proportional people out there who find a heavier frame attractive, not everyone wants a partner with a matching body type to them) but I feel that people are entitled to whatever standards they have for finding a partner. Ultimately if I only want to date a person who is exactly 6'1, 185lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, chest hair, PhD in French Literature and a marathon runner, I might be waiting a long time, and my list of requirements might put off people that would have met them. But that's up to me - my love life is not equal opportunities. Though personally I am a little put off by anyone whose sole or main criteria for a partner is some aspect of their physical appearance, if it's important to them, that's their choice and potentially their loss.

Well, I would look only for men that were, say, 5'8" or above (I don't remember exactly) but I'm only 5'1". I would look for men that were above age 40 while I am not. (Yet.) I used to search for men with PhD's, while I don't have one. He knows what he likes in a woman and he states it. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I believe the point the OP is trying to make is the fact that there is a very large (sorry for the pun) double standard going on here. Basically the guys who DON'T take care of themselves are only looking for ladies who do. However, you can walk down any street and wonder what in heaven's name one person sees in another to even show themselves with them in public. There never seems to be a shortage of women fresh from a workout at the gym who are on the arm of some guy in a food smeared T-shirt, belly extending below the hem of the shirt, with a grizzly face and rotting teeth...and vice versa. I don't understand it either, Kashmir. it's ok, very soon they will have those porn perfects all over them. admittedly within a couple of pms they will be asked for tributes and such, but hey score [8\|] each to their own though for what they want. i personally like my men tall. my current playmate is 6'2 while i'm 5'6. he is also slim while i'm curvy. what is even funnier is when i was looking i put that i wanted men slim to athletic. some guys have a very funny idea of what that means. a belly bigger than a full term pregnant woman is not my idea of slim to athletic though. needles

To be fair there are also the women that come here looking for the perfect male Dominants that will make them swoon and flutter their eyelashes. On the other side, people are entitled to their preferences. I'd suggest if someone has a strong preference for something that is in high demand, that they examine themselves closely to see if they would appeal to their target audience. They're going to need to offer something that the desirable target wants. A chunky physique or slovenly appearance may not do the trick. One thing that I see probably more often than the overweight male Dom who wants the sexy thin sub, are the older men who want young women. Not as much to work with on that, you can't reverse the aging process like you can with weight.

I think there is A LOT of different opinions about what HWP means and I think that varies for both men and women. I find it fascinating that I just recently read a profile where the woman wanted someone HWP and saw herself as HWP.... 5'1", 210lbs. At least in the US I wonder if we even have any standard by which we could compare that since all the normal standards have been tossed by the way side.
