But the guys who are yelling and bitching about how fat people (meaning females) are disgusting and need to exercise more and who would want them, etc... yeah, I look at their pic and go, "yeaaaahhhhhh guy, you might want to look in a mirror because if fat= all those things you need to adjust your view of yourself".

How long have people been saying "Hight-Weight-Proportionate"? It just seems like being politically correct, saying you are looking for a HWP person instead of saying you don't want an overweight person. This is the first time I've seen it used, it just seems a bit unnecessary to me, it's not like "overweight" is derogatory, it's to some extent in the eye of the beholder but so is HWP isn't it? -Aries

Congratulations on working to become HWP. I am a firm believer that people can set whatever standards they want as long as they realize that the more they veer from norm or from what they have to offer, the harder it will to be achieve and in essence don't bitch about it. Younger seeks older, white seeks black, short seeks tall, slim seeks fat. It happens. Mostly I find that people often don't have a good grasp of who they are and how to classify themselves. It's like their memory gets stuck at a certain point when they were all that and they don't take into account the passage of time and their sedentary lifestyle. Even though I make it very clear in My profile that I seek someone very lean, I get messages all the time from those who are not but truly believe they fit into what I'm seeking. Also, I think that people want to avoid saying, "No fatties" or "No BBW's, BHM" so to be PC they put seeking HWP even if they don't really mean super fit or super thin.

My Chael is 60lbs overweight, he does 45 minutes of military PT in the morning and usually goes to the gym with me every night and does cardio and weights for an hour. I'm 50lbs overweight and work out 7 days a week for 1-3hrs doing a mix of cardio and weights. We've each gotten much healthier and stronger, but Chael's lost no weight. I used to do this and lose zero weight but now am losing with a gastric bypass + my workouts. We both eat healthy, low calorie, vegan diets. Being overweight does not mean a person doesn't work out and work out hard.

HWP used to mean sometimes that you were seeking a "Heterosexual White Professional" if you wrote that in your profile and/or "Hispanic Woman Professional".....so that is why it might be confusing as to what some people mean when they write it in their profile.

This is one of the major symptoms of the disease is failure to lose & maintain weight on a "healthy" (read whole wheat) diet

So what? It's their preference. You don't like it and you are not what they want, just hit the next profile button. I know lots of people who seem to be attracted to the opposite of themselves. That's their choice. When I was single, I had lots of preferences. Some were not what I am but so what.....that was my choice. Don't let your own issues reflect on other people's preferences.
