I figure I spent so much time in a gym or weightroom between ages 14 and 29, I'm good for life.
When I was in grad school, the others in the department called me "Conan the Librarian".
Im making up for it now.[8D]

How long have people been saying
"Hight-Weight-Proportionate"?

It just seems like being politically correct, saying
you are looking for a HWP person instead of
saying you don't want an overweight person.

This is the first time I've seen it used, it just
seems a bit unnecessary to me, it's not like
"overweight" is derogatory, it's to some extent
in the eye of the beholder but so is HWP isn't it?

I think the notion of height-weight proportionate came about just as a way to step away from just a weight alone, because weight alone doesn't tell someone anything - i.e., 200 pounds on 5' looks different than 200 pounds on 6'

To the OP: everyone is, of course, entitled to their personal preferences, even if they don't match their own bodies or their own selves. This is true for anything, height, weight, race, ethnicity, religion, eye color, hair color, personality, etc. Opposites often attract, and depending on age, weight can shift. I see overweight people of either gender with more slender/fit partners - although I would have to say that I see more overweight men with slender women than the reverse.

I would never fault anyone for being attracted to what they are attracted to - or for being able to overlook something because there are other things about the person that they really like.

I prefer to be with people HWP, especially as I am a bit of a fitness fanatic (so HWP people usually have other things in common with me). But I have made exceptions for people who came to the table with many other wonderful qualities. I've had one overweight Dominant who was a very intelligent, thoughtful, charismatic person. I met him for coffee knowing he was overweight, and thinking we would never click - but his personality, which came through even in emails, really wowed me over in person. So one never knows, really. But my most successful relationships were all with people HWP. I think they also shared similar attitudes towards exercise and food.

Master is 6'2", 240lbs. When I told someone that the response was "Oh, you like them fat".

The reality is that he has 11% body fat. (He was 255lbs when he was playing ball)

I have 20lbs worth of boobs, which even at my thinnest made me look overweight on paper.

Sounds like you were talking to someone pretty ignorant about how men's weight works. Even if he's not muscly, 6'2" and 240 is nothing to call fat.

TheBoyDownBelow -> RE: HWP only (1/7/2013 8:51:18 PM)

That HWP is just as relative as BBW is. I read a profile of a women who called herself fat. I looked at the picture, and I had to ask what is wrong with you. I called it nice and curvy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Therefore I wish that the decision for example what BBW is, is not taken from me. List weight and height, and don't just state BBW. I am not into big people, but too skinny is not my thing either. Often at my age, everyone including myself has a bit of overweight. Nothing wrong with that.

Any time I see an ugly man with a beautiful woman I am thrusted into a frenzy at how improper it is. This is not how nature intended it to work.

So you don't date good looking chicks huh?

Dating is so 1950's...

We call it "chilling."

TieMeInKnottss -> RE: HWP only (1/8/2013 4:57:10 PM)

(Sigh) how come no one is ever concerned about a short, skinny woman with a chest so disproportionate she appears to be ready to topple over?

Well, let's see:

He said he had brown hair. He was bald.
He said he was tall. He was 5'8".
He said he was 37. He was 42.
He said that he owned a restaurant. He was a manager at McDonalds.
He said that he was in shape and went to the gym 4 times per week. He was at least 50lbs overweight.

Sorry, if you disagree.....but I'll go with my assessment and assume that he lied about the gym too. (and judging from his attitude, I'll also assume I was correct about going to the gym to perv on the women, too)

Please keep in mind that I wouldn't have cared if he was overweight (My first Dom had just gone through gastric bypass surgery when I met him), if he hadn't bragged about how in shape he was.

In fairness, if he knows where the gym even IS, he's ahead of me.

Pass the ice cream, willya?

Yeah, but what pissed me off was lying about everything. If he had been truthful, I wouldn't have cared.

He finished our coffee meeting with "So, are you gonna have sex with me or not?"

It was a guy that said it.

That was my yearbook picture. I thought y'all loved t!
