I prefer using my hands, too...and it's kind of an indicator of how close I feel to the person I'm playing with whether I touch him or always use a toy.

I can understand the intimacy thing, preferring the hands to a paddle. The problem I have with bare-handed spanking is the nails leave some inadvertent marks.

I've never had an issue with the talons, LP. Which is odd, since I used to wear my nails fairly long. Meh, what's a few marks anyway.

I certainly love bare-handed (and it is very intimate) which is actually one of the benefits I like about paddles. I get the sensation I enjoy--and it can be with someone that I'm not intimate with (or want to be) I know my Domme preferred paddles because she said that her hand would hurt her too much after a while....

I have a wooden paddle larger than my hand with a nice handle. When I go to munches, it keeps getting borrowed. So far, it is still in one piece. I used to have a leather slapper, but it was borrowed and not returned. [sm=Groaner.gif] I'm not beyond useing my belt. I'm also a fan of floggers.
