Endivius, when I read your post I had to go and look at your profile because I thought you were a princess.
Even if I knew the answer to your questions, which thank goodness I don't, I would have to ask, how can you be so obsessive about a cotton sheet? I'm just grateful I don't have to sleep on an old sack under some railway bridge.

He could easily be a prince, as I am like the princess and the pea when it comes to sheets. :)

It is really important to some of us. I literally cannot sleep on bad sheets. I personally like the silky cotton and believe me, I am obsessive about it. Sometimes the higher thread counts are too thick, so they drag. The 300-500 thread count sateen ones, have more slip and feel cooler.

Check out Northern Nights from QVC, I suggest the wrinkle-free sateen sheets I've gotten the 450 or 500 thread count - they are sooooo comfy and they look great - I spent twice the amount on a set from the store previously and the sheets always looked like a mess. The Northern Nights are on sale fairly often.

Yes, those are great. Also, the Concierge Collection on HSN. I love all those sheets are they are always on sale. I have gotten from 400-800 thread count and keep experimenting.

I am the same as the others, a bedding diva. I need a ton of pillows too!

I'm looking to buy a new bedding set, I have previously been using 300 ct threaded egyptian cotton sheets. I've been doing some research and have the basics down on what to look for in terms of quality. What I have consistently come accross is that Sateen sheets are more astheticly appealing to me and softer, but can pill over time, while egyptian cotton sheets are more coarse out of the package but become softer over time and do not pill or wrinkle. What I am looking for is getting something with maximum comfort. I'm not worried about the price, and will pay for optimum quality. I've read that anything higher than 300 ct isn't distinguishable. I'm interested in something soft that will not pill and will last. So I would prefer an egyptian cotton with a sateen finish if I can find one. So far the ones I have found at bed bath and beyond overstock.com and ebay have mixed reviews on softness. So if anyone has any reccomendations I would be greatfull.

Reminds me of the one time my moms sheets still fit my bed and I put her dark blue flannel sheets on my bed. I eventually in a few days woke up with a weird blueish greyish tinge on my hands and arms and face, I was getting a little scared until I realized it was the damned. Bedding dye rubbing off on me.

I love flannel. It's sooooooooooo soft. I even used it in FL in the summer. I usually buy LLBean or Land's End. They last forever.

Seriously they are. I had a double bed and found it to small for Daddy and I both, when we went on vacay and the hotel had a ca king with totally soft fluffy bedding and an amazing mattress, it was a shame to leave. I actually told Daddy I needed a moment to lay in the bed a bit and say goodbye:p

Then as soon as we got home and had the time we purchased a ca king. The extra room is totally amazing. I love being able to sleep n sprawl out as much as I like and still not touch the other sleeper.

I don't think it's a Dom thing because I had to do some educamacation on "nice bed linens" to Odeen recently. We bought an additional 400ct cotton set. We are debating whether to upgrade to a kingsize bed in the future, so won't buy anymore till then.

There is nothing better than getting into bed with silky, soft sheets. I blame the few 5 star hotels I've stayed in.. those bedsheets are amazing.

Satin sheets are very slippery ( most likely , the pillow won't stay on the bed). 400 ct Egyptian cotton sheets is your best bet.
