Notice that the article does not say anything about the resulting extremely severe disadvantages for the future health of the gene pool and the sociology, psychology and crime rate in circumcising populations.

Sexually transmitted diseases for sure are a horror to the afflicted individual - but they confer surpassing benefits on the populations in which they are endemic. For the future health of their gene pools and for evolving civilized peoples, populations have an urgent need for the presence of sexually transmitted diseases.
