ORIGINAL: sunshinemiss I love the still squiggling squid. It's quite an interesting thing to eat. (Let's face it - in the USA, people eat bull testicles... so this isn't really that much different. And steak tartar? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that... you know... raw meat. ewww!) Korean food is exceedingly healthy and delicious. They believe in balance in their food - sweet / salty, hot / cold, spicy / mild. I find it (generally speaking) wonderfully refreshing to have food so closely attended to in a philosophical way. I went to a couple Korean places in the USA - oh lord the grease! Blech... but come to Korea! how about some bibimbap with Rain? I couldn't agree more. Yeah, steak tar tar, isn't just raw meat, it's raw eggs too. Really awesome to eat, I love raw meat. I'm more partial to Japanese cooking though. I love the balance of flavors and colors. It makes me conscious of what I am eating.
