Note to self, be sure to check thoroughly the next time I make stuffed calamari.

I knew I hated calamari for a reason, I just didn't know what it was. [>:][>:][>:][>:][>:](note the five)

ResidentSadist -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/15/2012 11:52:54 PM)

That was wrong in so many ways. What pops in my mind is what the hell were you searching for when you came across that?

kitkat105 -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/16/2012 1:09:17 AM)

That came up on my HuffPost news feed too.

I always knew there was a reason I didn't like squid/calamari. And Korean food.

Winterapple -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/16/2012 3:02:00 AM)

This won't keep me from eating calimari.
Well, I'll avoid eating it in Korea.

humptiedumptie -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/16/2012 4:34:30 AM)

First reaction was yuk, then the warped side kicked in and i lolololol. Mum....yes my little cali....what happened to dad

sunshinemiss -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/16/2012 5:28:19 AM)

I love the still squiggling squid. It's quite an interesting thing to eat. (Let's face it - in the USA, people eat bull testicles... so this isn't really that much different. And steak tartar? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that... you know... raw meat. ewww!)

Korean food is exceedingly healthy and delicious. They believe in balance in their food - sweet / salty, hot / cold, spicy / mild. I find it (generally speaking) wonderfully refreshing to have food so closely attended to in a philosophical way. I went to a couple Korean places in the USA - oh lord the grease! Blech... but come to Korea! how about some bibimbap with Rain?

MercTech -> RE: Tentacle porn! (6/16/2012 6:15:32 AM)

I'm with you on how America often perverts Asian cuisine, sunshinemiss.
I'm thinking of the sign in the big window in front of the China Buffet in Russellville, Arkansas: "Yes, we have Deep Fried Sushi".

Dang, now I'm craving some Vietnamese spring rolls and I'll wager St. Louis doesn't have any that don't include barbecue sauce.

You evil evil woman, bibimbap is one of my favs. Whenever I go somewhere and see that on the menu I stop right there. I just need the egg in the middle cooked through instead of runny like it usually is. Even when I order it with the egg cooked through it never comes that way so I'd give it to the ex, seems like it's almost sacrilegious for Koreans to cook eggs so they're not runny, lol.

I couldn't agree more. Yeah, steak tar tar, isn't just raw meat, it's raw eggs too. Really awesome to eat, I love raw meat. I'm more partial to Japanese cooking though. I love the balance of flavors and colors. It makes me conscious of what I am eating.
