NJ Governor Chris Christie vetoes Jersey Shore Tax Cut. Doesnt he know that tax cuts for the rich create jobs? So why the hell did he veto the tax cuts for the Jersey Shore doesnt he know "The Situation" is a millionaire and therefore creates jobs.

Attention Filmmakers and Video Production Company.

When New Jersey says they offer tax credits for productions, THEY ARE LYING. Film elsewhere...

Caveat Emptor!

Did you check out the online poll on that page

Going by that, Christie is right in line with the majority on this

Poll Results Thank you for voting. Do you agree with Chris Christie's decision to veto the 'Jersey Shore' tax? Yes, residents shouldn't have to contribute to that nauseating show. 77% [image]http://www.nydailynews.com/img/poll_color.gif[/image] No, the TV show brings so much money to the state! 20% [image]http://www.nydailynews.com/img/poll_color.gif[/image] I don't know. 4% [image]http://www.nydailynews.com/img/poll_color.gif[/image]

The Law shouldn't waver to public opinion polls, unlike Chris "I used to be Pro-Choice" Christie...

If the producers met the legal requirements, then that should be the end of discussion.

Again, it's not like every production company isn't paying close attention to Christie fucking over these guys. They'll just go somewhere that they know won't fuck them over instead in the future. This is bad not just for the production companies, but I know a lot of regional rental houses that are going to take a hit...

Yeah I know, weve heard it all before. "we need less democracy"

Perhaps we should even suspend elections altogether

You are equating public-opinion poll with election polls.

Although they both contain the word 'poll', they are, of course, not the same things.

Perhaps a review of Civics-101 would be useful? Or simply being intellectually honest and not attempting to sow disinformation? Whether it's ignorance or malice, please stop shitting on the thread....

Sanity -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 7:18:47 AM)

Something else that youre overlooking, as you shit and puke all over the thread... though to you it might seem like a fine technical point. If Christie signs it or vetoes it, it is the law

"Civics 101" [;)][:D]

See that the word gets out to your folks on Roe v. Wade, in like manner.

Sanity -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 8:02:18 AM)

Christies veto stands, mnot. Roe is another thread, perhapps you are lost.

mnottertail -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 8:07:38 AM)

nowhere near as lost and confused as you.

Owner59 -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 8:15:54 AM)

This state is hurting for every dollar it can get but this ass-hat thinks he must be the judge of good taste.

And he`s wrong about the show.

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2011/07/jersey_shore_isnt_affecting_ho/1607/comments-2.html

"Here's the real situation: It turns out MTV's "Jersey Shore" isn't killing New Jersey's reputation after all. A new nationwide poll finds the reality show about a group of hard-drinking, foul-mouthed 20-somethings at a beach house in Seaside Heights may even be helping a bit by bringing attention to the real Jersey shore. The Fairleigh Dickinson..."

He should get back to work and stop flying all over the US to raise money for republicans. This is why he`s so popular w/ cons right now,he`s their little darling du jor, while the rest of their pack isn`t so popular.

NJ needs a full time governor.

Not a social engineer.

farglebargle -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 8:22:13 AM)

The veto is 'legal', however it's not the intent of the legislature, of course.

Hey, "The Market" will vote with their feet. Since producers can't count of Christie to keep his word, they'll avoid filming in New Jersey.

Reality shows dont generate shit in taxes. One season of Law and Order is worth more than the entire run of one of these asinine shows. You won't see anyone changing their plans over this.

Real0ne -> RE: Gov Chris Christie hates Jobs Creators (9/29/2011 8:41:58 AM)

dumb ass, everyone knows economic security comes with taxing the poor and cutting taxes for the wealthy.

So, you're for MORE Taxes on Job Creators, then?

In other words Chris Christie caved and decide to do what his people wanted instead of doing whats best for his people such as support Tax Cuts for Job Creators. Next thing you know you will be supporting Obama's Jobs Plan because 66% - 70% of Americans favor the increase in taxes Job Creators. A true Conservative wouldnt cave in like a demoRAT and keep the tax cuts for the rich.

Exactly, Farglebargle needs a Civics 101 class. The supreme court or any court has never over turned anything the legislative and executive branches passed. That would be Un-American

Does it matter what business they are in? The Rich are the Job Creators, they are doing a show in New Jersey they have to hire people to work on that show. Also cast and crew spend money at bars, nightclubs, tanning salons, and etc. All that money trickles down to the rest of New Jersey's economy which can be taxed and collected. The Tax Cuts are needed because they are creating jobs via Trickle Down Economics.
