ORIGINAL: Sanity Despite what you seem to believe, a good economy is not one in which most people are dependent on government handouts. Democrats can condition people to believe that thats the way life should be but its not healthy in any way for a people to believe or to behave that way, or for a government to foster such dependance. I completely agree. A good economy (and a strong nation) is one where most people don't need to depend on handouts to survive. I don't really understand how you think this works. I mean, do you think that the government can look at low unemployment rates and think, gee, we need to find more people to give welfare to, there are too many people employed. It's like a doctor saying, well, if people were healthy, they wouldn't need medicine. Yes. That is true. So focus on making them healthy, not on restricting their access to medicine.
