Not that I want to make light of your problem, but...

Then I'd have a nice lunch.

...what happens if you get the mail after lunch?

I've been in a similar situation - I did not tell the person I received the email regarding as it was in the form of "Leave my friend so and so alone. She's having a rough time, and you guys are all being selfish meanies for dumping your problems on her." Not being one of the dumping meanies, I was pretty insulted. Frankly, people who would be a dumping meanie won't listen, thinking it's not them. The people who were not dumping meanies, the ones who could have actually helped and supported the person, like myself, were all insulted. After one or two strongly worded notes, the non-dumping meanies stepped out while the drama queens kept things swimming along merrily.

Here's what I did.
1. I wrote the person who wrote the original note calling her on her nonsense.
2. I pointed out the errors in her logic.
3. I told her to stay out of my inbox since she obviously doesn't know how to mind her own business.
4. I made note of who stirred the drama bigger.
5. I stay away from that whole crew now.

Thanks, my joyous drama is plenty.

best,
sunshine

i would just tell her. If it were me, i would want to know. If she wants to read the letter, she'll ask. But i would definitely tell her.
