On a broader theme, stupidity is not their issue; what most of them are is ignorant, and a few of them have sociopathic tendencies. That's not the same thing as “stupid”. Many people of below average intelligence are not racist, therefore the question that should be asked is what made these people turn out like that? My answer would centre around education and upbringing, most especially the latter. People aren't born racist, they acquire it. Or, rather, it’s driven into them. Some racists are, if not clever (since anyone with a degree of intelligence can work out for themselves that people are essentially born equal, at least in the terms most racists are interested in), then at least cunning, and not necessarily “stupid”. To dismiss them as such lets them off the hook; it’s saying “they can’t help it because they’re dumb”, instead of making clear that their racism is born of ignorance and poor influences, and cradled by the personal choices they make to be that way.
It’s much the same way with your writing style; it’s not that you're so dumb as to not know that plurals don’t need apostrophes, or to hit the space bar once after a comma and twice after a full stop, it’s more that you choose not to bother applying any effort or thought as to when not to use an apostrophe, or where to use a space. If you can’t be bothered to apply any thought to being able to write even one language at least passably well how can you expect others to take any other thoughts you have seriously? When you apply for a job will your prospective employer think “that’s a bright young man my company could well do with hiring!” or will they think “well he can’t even be arsed to write a letter/email properly. I’ll bin this application and move on to the next!”.
Can you see what I'm suggesting?
