Charles - good call on the backlink review. I was about to before I saw your post.

For the ADHD hatas - check it. http://www.amenclinics.com/brain-science/spect-image-gallery/spect-atlas/images-of-attention-deficit-disorder-addadhd/

Not all add/adhd is created equally. Signal loss in the hippocampus region caused by 'low threshold' activity is different from signal loss from 'high threshold' activity; both are classed as ADD. The first will give you poor memory and self-control, and the ability to react faster in a crisis; the latter will give you nervous energy, poor attention span, and irrational fears; also classed as ADD, at least when the poor attention span overshadows the paranoia. And that's just in one region. Don't even get me started on the cerebral cortex or cerebellum.

So in sum, shut the fuck up like y'all know anything about anything. You are all, once again, irritating the crap out of me with stupidity. Charles, don't worry about your damned typing skills; at least half of the  doctors, lawyers and millionaires I know (and I know a substantial number of them) don't give a shit and also text with 'do u lik pixxa?' quality phone skills. Only those overly concerned with the rules they judge their own status by give a shit about it. If you don't, continue to not to.

Unfortunately, you're not completely correct with all of this.  While there's no disputing the article that you presented with the scans of the research by Dr Amen, you would have done well to dig a little deeper.  A person's writing style can be easily linked to three very common behaviors associated with ADD/ADHD, which I've found to be very good indicators of how clip is managing his issue.  Quite often, when it is obvious that he is rushing through his posting here, he is having issues with focus and control in other areas.  Except for hanging a big neon sign on his forehead about the state of his hyperactivity, you couldn't find many other ways for Me to know where he is other than his writing.  When his writing is rushed, full of mistakes, and he's obviously not focused on his task, I can guarantee you that there are other areas of his life where his ADHD is having a greater impact.

Ah, but what do I know.  I obviously don't have any experience on the subject.

I'd have to assert something about how his writing affects his ADHD in order for your correction to be relevant. My assertion was that his ADHD could easily affect his writing, and that there are many different kinds.

Bringing clip more into focus on little things (such as writing) will tend to help him in areas such as impulsiveness and his concentration skills.  When the little things are in place, the big things are more likely to follow.  Attention to detail when emphasized in various areas has something of a ripple effect.  Same thing when focus is allowed to slip or standards are lowered.

... Did you read Amen's book? His prescriptions include nothing like what's being demonstrated here. In fact, hyperfocus on detail is a coping mechanism for many ADD patients, and it does not help the condition. That's why it's a coping mechanism and not a repairing mechanism. It only permits a relatively normal level of functionality. Further, too much pressure to 'pay attention' can cause nervousness, frustration and depression, making the condition worse. For most versions; again, not all ADD is the same beast. Chances are the constant sniping about his grammar ain't helpful even a little bit, though.

Exercise, good nutrition, setting up a proper environment for focus, and god help me positive thinking, are a few of the things Amen does recommend. His red ants analogy stuck with me. And I agree with him, based on the research he's done and the correlations I've found elsewhere. Of course, Amen also says that soccer and football or anything that can cause even minor head trauma are child abuse, to which I say good luck with that.

Actually, don't tell me you have read his book, I'll just think you're lying. Or if I'm feeling generous I'll just think you completely forgot everything between the covers and half of the back cover.

Well, first of all my original comment wasn't aimed at you, only the folks making ignorant comments about ADD. Yours I considered mildly helpful. But based on this post? You set yourself up for failure here. Why even make your authority of this subject a question? That was either trolling for debate, or a self-defeating prophecy, considering your lovely idea of making all ADD sufferers into OCD's as well.

"But you would presumably have to have secure, read/write access to their site in order to make that change?"

No, and it's also not permanent. What it does is allow you to overload them with hits. What website could stand 500,000 hits simulaneously ? You would have to keep doing it o keep them down.

But you could, because you can use any internet access and almost any PC. The OS runs off the CD actually, so the only way to trace you would be the IP. Just move on to another PC after a couple of times. Wifi would come in handy now wouldn't it ? Buy a stolen laptop with wifi and drive around to parking lots. In fact I took mine out once and on about a 12 mile ride I found at least five differewnt unsecured networks, and this was riding down the road, not in a coffee shop or parking lot.

I still wouldn't do it because it is against the law. I am not talking about their codified statutory bullshit. It is against the Constitution. The law has to be for everyone, if not we have lost everything.

A DDoS attack then. A site like theirs will be set up to withstand such an attack. It's not difficult if you have the resources, and they appear to have.

Bringing sites down, if they're prepared for it, is next to impossible without a VLS (Very Large Scale) Tier 1 BotNet, and even then it's temporary. Smaller sites, without said resources, could be offline for days, but the bigger, more frequently targeted ones will typically show a resilience of something in the order of 4-12 hours, after which the BotNet responsible won't be effective again.

Sounds like you know your shit better than I. But then software is always advancing, so new ways to accomplish this will no doubt be invented. Then it's cat and mouse, like a whole lot of other things.
