The only people who could get the domain name revoked is the King family and it would be a fairly unpleasant process and it would surely give the scum at Stormfront way more attention than they get now. Better to ignore it.

I do have my high school diaploma.Clearly,I must have done something right to earn that.If it matter's,I do have A.D.D. I've learned to live and deal with it.I never thought my grammar was such a major issue on the internet but clearly it is.I will try and improve my spelling.

I know a guy who is a senior partner of a major, and I mean major, law firm. He was "diagnosed" with "severe" A.D.D. from an early age, and he (and many others with A.D.D.) can write perfectly adequately - in his case exceptionally so.

Sorry, but it's not an excuse.

I doubt that your guy has ADD.

You doubt wrongly. Diagnosed later than is commonplace now, but confirmed diagnosis by 3 separate experts. And not a "mild" example either.

Just because he doesn't fit a convenient stereotype doesn't mean he doesn't have it.

Charles,
You have a cmail.
I sent you a link if you are truly interested in sorting that issue out that explains it really well.

Keep reading it and re-reading it, if it doesn't make sense at first. You make some good points that are getting missed.

While I don't particularly care about your writing, I do care about you using ADD or ADHD as an excuse for bad grammar. I have had ADHD all my life. I can't, for the life of me, sit down and explain the rules of grammar to anyone beyond the very basics - I was never able to make myself pay attention to the rhythm and reason of grammar. However, I do follow it well enough that I've yet to be scolded on my grammar outside of an academic setting. Nor, for that matter, have any of the professionals who worked with me as a child, teen, or young adult expressed that grammar would be something we had to worry about with ADD or ADHD.

So please... ADD and ADHD are misunderstood enough. Don't add to it.

*steps off the soapbox*

I was wondering when someone else would pop up and state the obvious.

BTW I meant to ask - why "AquaticSub"? Are you big into swimming or something?

Or watersports?

Or "watersports"?

It just sprung into my mind the other day and I meant to ask. You don't have to answer if it's personal, obviously. I was merely curious. Feel free to lob a "mind your own beeswax" in my direction.

*laughs* It's really not very interesting. The long story short: When I was a lot younger, I got the nickname of Aqua. Since I'm also an Aquarius I always kinda liked the nickname and kept using it as moniker through the years. When I created my nick here I was about 20, in a hurry and didn't know a lot about myself in terms of my lifestyle interests. So the thought process was something like this:

Fuck, I gotta get this done before class. Damn it, the name I want (don't ask me what it was, I can't remember) doesn't fit. Um.... Well, I like it when people call me Aqua and I'm a sub... Hey AquaticSub isn't taken! Sweet - now I gotta run to class!

I've considered changing it for a lot of reasons but I just got to "Insane"....

Necessity is the mother of invention :)

Oh and thanks for that.

While getting rid of it is not an option, you could theoretically bump it off page 1 in the google search results. I took a look on siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com and found 6,577 inlinks (which is a lot) some from high page rank sites such as wikipedia and others that look like white supremacist sites (I'm not up on this but the name Tom Snyder is ringing a bell.)

martinlutherking.org is a high value URL (just the address - not the content) and someone would have to create a competing site with another high value URL and do a lot of search engine optimization to kick the .org off page 1.

This would be a great project for a communications major.

I like your style. :)

But the theoretical communications major would have to know what s/he was getting into. The site is run by Stormfront, which is a notoriously belligerent, aggressive, spiteful, and mysteriously well-funded and tech savvy bunch of douchebags.

Charles - good call on the backlink review. I was about to before I saw your post.

For the ADHD hatas - check it. http://www.amenclinics.com/brain-science/spect-image-gallery/spect-atlas/images-of-attention-deficit-disorder-addadhd/

Not all add/adhd is created equally. Signal loss in the hippocampus region caused by 'low threshold' activity is different from signal loss from 'high threshold' activity; both are classed as ADD. The first will give you poor memory and self-control, and the ability to react faster in a crisis; the latter will give you nervous energy, poor attention span, and irrational fears; also classed as ADD, at least when the poor attention span overshadows the paranoia. And that's just in one region. Don't even get me started on the cerebral cortex or cerebellum.

So in sum, shut the fuck up like y'all know anything about anything. You are all, once again, irritating the crap out of me with stupidity. Charles, don't worry about your damned typing skills; at least half of the  doctors, lawyers and millionaires I know (and I know a substantial number of them) don't give a shit and also text with 'do u lik pixxa?' quality phone skills. Only those overly concerned with the rules they judge their own status by give a shit about it. If you don't, continue to not to.

Unfortunately, you're not completely correct with all of this.  While there's no disputing the article that you presented with the scans of the research by Dr Amen, you would have done well to dig a little deeper.  A person's writing style can be easily linked to three very common behaviors associated with ADD/ADHD, which I've found to be very good indicators of how clip is managing his issue.  Quite often, when it is obvious that he is rushing through his posting here, he is having issues with focus and control in other areas.  Except for hanging a big neon sign on his forehead about the state of his hyperactivity, you couldn't find many other ways for Me to know where he is other than his writing.  When his writing is rushed, full of mistakes, and he's obviously not focused on his task, I can guarantee you that there are other areas of his life where his ADHD is having a greater impact.

Bringing clip more into focus on little things (such as writing) will tend to help him in areas such as impulsiveness and his concentration skills.  When the little things are in place, the big things are more likely to follow.  Attention to detail when emphasized in various areas has something of a ripple effect.  Same thing when focus is allowed to slip or standards are lowered.

Ah, but what do I know.  I obviously don't have any experience on the subject.

Really?  I've found Dr Amen's work some pretty interesting stuff.  The estimates of people having it are in the millions and his research has been some of the cornerstones of treatment.
