hi

im wondering what method or techniques there are for not losing the orgasm thats belting up sooo nicely and then you have to hold back and ask to cum. at that point i tend to lose the immediate need to O - its got tripped up by having to remember to ask - so then theres this stupid delay when ive asked to O and need to go back to tuning into the sensations that had got me there the first time - its so annoying.

can anyone help or is it all about practice.

Status: offline 		yep... practice :) I had a similar problem. I'm going to try to explain how I figured this out, but it may not make any sense! I waited to beg until I thought I would just die if he said no. If he did say no, I'd almost wanna cry, but being soooo close to the O meant that I could slow down a little without losing the need to orgasm. On the other hand if he said yes... yay me! :) Oh another way I got better at it was to ask when I knew I was getting close and with just a little work I could get there, but it wouldn't be blown if he said no because I was still building up. Did that make sense?? Probably not! I tried.

Status: offline 		As many of the above have said, practice helps a lot. There are some practical ways to help you along with this.

1. Practice stop and starts while masturbating. This will help you be able to shift back into your rhythm faster.
2. Make asking a part of your masturbation routine. It's something you can do in your head to make the asking a part of your orgasm.
3. If all else fails, start asking just before you are at your point of no return and gradually work yourself closer and closer to your tipping point until you can get it up to the second.
4. Holding back when asked to wait is harder. Think of the rewards when you are actually allowed.

i shall practice and practice

i love the idea of it - being at that point of no return and holding back until im allowed - so far ive lost the 'tipping point' as merry called it, so that in the end it felt like im cumming way after being allowed, which feels almost like im cumming ad hoc, which isnt the point at all!

so practice makes perfect - trips off to find fresh batteries

I don't have any advice on how to accomplish greater control, but I do have an opinion on the subject.

This issue has come up with both of the women that I consider my Two Great Loves.  In the case of K., she enjoyed being brought up to the brink, denied, brought to it again, denied, etc.  It made her orgasms very powerful and I was very jealous.  But I enjoyed the control, so it worked for me too.

When I tried the same thing with D., she just straight up said, "Please don't deny me this."  And I didn't.  In her case, I don't know if I could have anyway.  I didn't have that same control to enjoy, but I did have the pleasure of knowing that she enjoyed giving herself to me. 

My point is that all things are not right for all people.  It sounds like you want to give him this and I think that's great.  And you're willing to work for it, which gives you something both to work on, which is cool.  But if it doesn't end up working for you, let him know.

so its doable - cool - i agree its alot to do with headspace and probably alot to do with being suggestable, in that orgasm is Theirs to give and youres to receive.

Status: offline 		I eventually got to a point where I could cum when granted permission. However, it didn't matter how many years of doing this went by, those orgasms were pale and forced. It was no where near the joy I got when I could fly freely without hinderance. The most I could eek out was a grateful "finally". Coincidentally I completely forgot the name of that man, even though we were together for 5 yrs, until you brought up this thread.

Status: offline 		I think merrymasochist's advice--"Make asking a part of your masturbation routine. It's something you can do in your head to make the asking a part of your orgasm"--is excellent. I always ask for permission to cum in my head when I masturbate, and I think that helps a lot.

I think it also helps to mentally frame the orgasm as something for HIM rather than for you, so it's something you're doing for him or giving to him because he has demanded it. You said you think of your orgasms as yours, and my guess is that you need to reframe it in your mind, to give up control and ownership of your orgasms. I highly recommend it. When I completely gave up control and ownership of my orgasms, I found out that I can have a 45 minute orgasm. Who knew?
